that happend sometime ago i remmber reading it on chester city forum and was woundering whether to post it on here or not, he doesnt seem to be doing very well at chester, neither does jay harris they both should of stayed i think! if you go on the chester forum and search for mannix it tells you the other play involed

Re: David Mannix suffers facial injury

I think mannix was a decent player who didn't do himself justice when at stanley and i for one miss jay harris's enthuism for the game.He sure had some bite to his tackling,i agree with you, perhaps they should have stayed with us.

Quite liked Mannix, thought he passed the ball around well!

Anyone who saw Mannix debut for us at Grimsby knows the lads potential.
A mixture of bad luck and bad injuries means the lad hasnt quite moved on yet but I, for one, would have him back tomorrow.

With a decent run of games under his belt we would then sell him on for a decent fee. Sounds like a good business risk to me!!!

Re: David Mannix suffers facial injury

i think he was a good player with alot of potential the only reason liverpool let him go was his injuries. i would have him back in the team anyday, lets get him back on loan till end of season, if grifths aint going to be able to come back.

You'll have to put your proposal to Eric there.
I know he has the potential, but he was also bone idle. Do you think you could cure that if you sign him?

Re: David Mannix suffers facial injury

CANT AGREE WITH THAT!!

I never saw the lad give less than 100% but hey its a agame of opinions!!

Get him in!!

Nothing to lose..... Chester even offering to fully subsidise the deal!!

i think he was a decent lad i think he may have wanted alot of money on his wage which accrington havent got

Re: David Mannix suffers facial injury

Jiffy Bag must have put a good case. No doubt helped considerably if Chester are subsidising wages.

May be returning:

Would welcome him back to be quite honest, not the worst we have seen recently!

Re: David Mannix suffers facial injury

So people want to re-sign a player that didn't perform the last time we had him, failed to get a regular place in a very poor Chester team, and ended up fighting with a member of his own team?

Have I got this right, because it doesn't make sense to me?

how many bust up do players have on the training ground i bet there has been a few at stanley this season and past seasons but just arnt as worse as what happend here! i think we should get him back good player.

Re: David Mannix suffers facial injury

Think they may be being a tad optimistic about getting a fee:

Quartet linked with moves as Mark Wright looks to wheel and deal - Chester Chronicle

The fact that David Mannix was not charged suggests to me that he was not an aggressor in any trouble at the training ground. Furthermore it was him who required the medical treatment.

MCR ADIM 05-01-2009 16:03

Re: David Mannix suffers facial injury

exactly i agree with the above some words were said like on every training ground when players get worked up and stuff and mannix came off the worse i hope he would come back if coleman thought it was a good idea for him to come back

maccawozzagod 05-01-2009 21:10

Re: David Mannix suffers facial injury

I aint bothered about what happens on the training ground - its none of my business.

But, as stated by TM, the guy was pants last time he was here and couldn't get into a mediocre (better than ours?) Chester team. Hit the curb Norwegian Scouse its over.

I wanted him here last time on the premise of a good game against Grimsby (we still lost though) but he had a good few weeks last time and made no impression on us or the management.

Haggis316 06-01-2009 10:28

Re: David Mannix suffers facial injury

Based on Grimsby I would have him back.

Based on how things went after Grimsby I do not think the position should be reviewed and the Club agree:
