Slipping down the league

Stats can't lie. Right?

Thank goodness for the points deductions, otherwise we'd already be in trouble.

We've won 1 and drawn 3 of our last 7; won 3 and drawn 4 of our last 16.

At home, we've taken 10 points; so have Port Vale and Macc; the only worse home records are Grimsby (7) and Barnet (6)

Away, we've taken 9, along with Barnet, Gillingham and Shrewsbury (trouble is that Gillingham are 9th - 23 points at home with just one defeat - and Shrewsbury 3rd (25 points from 10 games at home - 1 draw, 1 defeat)

Worse away teams than us? Bournemouth (8), Chester (8), Morecambe (7) - did I hear faint cheering? - Grimsby (6) and Aldershot (6 - only 2 wins - remember the first one?)

Rotherham have 'earned' 27 points, Luton 24 and Bournemouth 21, which - without the deductions - would make them 12th, 14th and 18th respectively. With 19 points we would then be 21st; same points as Chester, with Barnet on 15 and Grimsby on 13.

I'm certain Rotherham will save themselves; Bournemouth and Luton still could. Thank heavens for Grimsby ...........

Goals win games; we average 1.5 per league game (although how we do that when we only shoot 3 times most games I still haven't worked out)

Am I the only worried one going into the Christmas / New Year matches?

:(

No you are not and with Mullin's toe, Kennys kidney's and all the other injuries to key players all season Cav, Liam, Proccy Etc. We will be OK this season but what if we all start on ZERO next season?? Check the stats for the last 2 seasons we have fewer points thus far. I have to admit that against Macc and Bradford(forget the result!!!) you could see improvements and I did believe we were taking strides but once again the wheels have come off:confused::confused:

And were only a point or two away from a couple of teams above us so it's not so bad yet.

Looking at those 3 very winnable fixtures, I think we're gonna have an amazing Christmas.

Here's hoping we can take the 9 points from the next 3 games or once again it will be squeaky bum time. The teams below us will want the points as badly as we do so i expect a few titanic battles along the way. With the injuries we've got the players are going to have to fight for the points and hopefully not collapse like we did at lincoln.Lets start with 3 points against rotherham.
