Jimmy Ryan. Midfielder. Age 20. Irish. Just Released by Stanley and also played for Liverpool Youth team. U-21 Cap.

Thats a rumour I heard. Not reliable though as it hasn't been on so much other things.

when was he released by stanley?

this has come from the sligo rovers message forum where someone has said they have signed two stanley players.

i hope jimmy aint one of them he has been one if not the best player on the pitch for us this season. never stops running, works 110% i think plays better on the wing than in midfield but he still played out of his socks on saturday and i hope we keep him for a long time as he is turning out to be a very good player.

I really hope this is a wind up, there's no way we can afford to let Jimmy go - however I will keep calm until this is confirmed or denied by the club (If it's confirmed, the one thing I will not be is calm)

Why would coley release such a good player? The answer is he wouldnt! Stop worrying, its obviously a wind up or to cause rumours.

Re: Jimmy Ryan!

why is it wikipedia that he has been released i dont think they would of done that as the squad is small enough and too lose a so inportant player would just be stupid if it is true than questions need to be asked.

Do you want me to say you have been signed by Accrington Stanley?
NEVER believe anything on Wikipedia, you can edit it and put what you like on there - go try it on Ronaldo's page :D

Wikipedia:

"This page was last modified on 3 January 2009, at 22:24."

JR left the pitch just before 16:50 hours.

To describe that as "recently released" would have to be the understatement of this or any other century.

Saturday was the worst game that Jimmy Ryan had played for Stanley. Anything's possible. ;)

I totally agree. I don't think he made one decent pass to a Stanley player.

Re: Jimmy Ryan!

Yes but how often are people released based on one bad game out of many very good ones?
