Re: about message board ?
the food is mostly beyond their control as it is franchised out.
The advantage is that they get a set amount of money every game be it a JPT 1st round against a nobody team or an FA Cup against Rovers. THe disadvantage is they get a set amount of money every game be it a JPT 1st round against a nobody team or an FA Cup against Rovers. If the club put on a specific promotional entrance price they can't recoup the losses on the ground as there is next to nowt to spend money on. I have always advocated that the club should run the outlets via a catering manager (its only half a dozen hours at the most) but in retrospect, bearing in mind the lack of stock on the bars some times, maybe thats a bad idea! But seriously, without direct control of the food, without stock (and lighting) in the alcohol bars, without a proper place to buy programmes, without a shop large enough for people to browse around then the club is never going to fully exploit the money that people may wish to spend on a matchday. |
Re: about message board ?
I didnt want to go didnt feel like i used to about going to watch a match at the fes, once upon a time coppering up to get out the door, felt no excitment at all. Funny this thread was discussion on the terrace, general consencious in that despite the negativity of the club we do go & get behind our players willing the play for goal for 90mins or so then negativity soon returns once the footy stops.
Now i go to watch & will the team on because in the name of Accrington Stanley in the heart but nothing else regarding it behind the scenes - which is a shambles! Karma to the person that turned the tv up as the face novelty bird spoke LOL!! & also to ricky [nice rebellous announcement voice of the fans today] pmsl! |
Re: about message board ?

We were robbed of at least 10 mins of time today by the keeper and the ref for not taking charge of the match! To say it was a disgrace is an under statement. |

Re: about message board ?
I reckon the latest move (the removal of the link to this forum) is the latest phase of the Eric Whalley master-plan to get us back in the Conference. He's well known for his hatred of parting with money. If we were back in the Blue Square his expenditure would fall drastically. He's insulted the fans in the local newspapers by saying the Town doesn't deserve a league club, he's insulted the fans on TV when he said "Who'd pay money to watch this ****e?", he insulted the stewards when he said "Look at 'em, you wouldn't pay that lot lot with washers" and now he's further alienated a major source of the club's income, the fans, by removing the link to the message board. 1056 spectators, that says it all. As much as he's done for the club over the years Mr. Whalley is rapidly becoming a liability.

Re: about message board ?
:( The messageboard was removed from the fishy site because of negativity and the constant criticism that the club gets on this forum:(
