League table on fishy site
 

Lets get this straight.
I DONT WORK FOR THE CLUB
I DONT GET PAID ANYTHING BY THE CLUB
I DO THE TABLE IN MY OWN SPARE TIME
I GO TO MOST HOME GAMES, ODD AWAY GAMES AND DO THE TABLE WHEN I GET HOME
I WORK SHIFTS SO SOMETIMES MISS GAMES AND I CAN'T UPDATE THE TABLE UNTIL THE DAY AFTER.
For the people who where moaning about it today (as well as other things) if you prefer to go to the BBC site thats updated straight away after a match then go there, I was at the match today just like you where, I have to travel home just like you had to, have my tea like you did - then I get chance to update the table.
The people at the BBC weren't at the game, they get paid for watching for results and doing their job, ie updating the league tables.

I don't know the background to this but you have my every sympathy. It's a thankless task but I would guess that most people visiting the fishy site are grateful that this information is available there.

You would like to think so, some people want it doing at the final whistle though, don't even give me chance to get home!

MikeA and K.S.H. are a rarety (<- is the spelt right) in that they put there hand up when volonteers to help run the site where asked for.. Not only put hands up but followed through with actual help and have been doing it for a long periods of time.. .. they just plod along... no one says owt... they just take them for granted.. thats the stanley way.

Even though I left the website.. I offer my appreciation for your efforts :)

I for one (:o:o) did not realise that some of the stuff on the Official Stanley site was done for free buy volunteers !! I say :D WELL DONE TO ALL OF YOU :D Who ever you are, and thanks for doing so.................:):)

Hang on, i'm not after credit or owt, I overheard a conversation about the website and on of the complaints was it takes hours for the league table to be updated, the BBC site is done straight away, thats what annoyed me

Didn't hear most of the conversation as they were passing me, If I hadn't of been on the phone at the time they would have got an earfull from me. Just stuff like lack of info etc which I can live/agree with.

Was looking out for em today and ready to pounce but didn't see them.
