Howlin' Mad Murdock

LET reports that Colin Murdock is suffering from glandular fever and the club are assessing how long this will lay him off for.
Given that this illness can be quite nasty I wouldn't be surprised if we never see him in a Stanley shirt again. His current deal runs out in May and he will be 34 at the start of next season.
Though his experience would be useful, can we afford to keep bench-warmers who are the wrong side of 30? Pete Murphy will be fit next season and can do a decent job of deputising in defense.

Whatever happens, get well soon Colin.

With his experience of the league and also being a captain at Rotherham id like to see if he could be come defense coach for Stanley. The young players like Bell and Murphy could do with someone like him if he was to retire this season!

If we can't afford to keep our 'jobs for the boys' scheme together (ie Jamo's goalie job) then I doubt Colin will be kept on as a coach. Would be nice though.
