Team selection according to Auntie Beeb

Accrington Stanley: Arthur, Cavanagh, Edwards, Charnock, Williams, Turner, Ryan, Procter, Miles, Lindfield, Paul Mullin.

Subs: Murdock, McConville, Higginbotham, Grant, John Mullin.

Thought McConville was out with a broken wrist, or maybe this is answering a question I asked in a different thread about playing with a lightweight cast

Match stats according to sky say macc 55% to Accy's 45%. Well I for one will take that as long as the main stat reads Macclesfield 0

Another point from their commentary is that Accy were on top in the match after 40 mins and the key player is none other than Rockie

:) Got to say great night tonight :D Especially pleased for Proccy that he got on score sheet - loved the way he ran over to the fans and celebrated. Some very very good performances tonight Mullin,Miles,Kenny,Edwards,Charnock for me were the stars, but that said there were 11 STARS tonight, even Rocky only mistimed a couple :D Good goal though .Very good, solid TEAM performance tonight and the points well and truely deserved. On a final note the ultras and all the rest of the fans put on a great show for us tonight, did us proud - just a pity that the stewards could not grasp what was going on  SIT DOWN PLEASE AND STOP BANGING THAT DRUM AS PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO WORK  Wicked if you ask me, fantastic noise and great atmosphere, best fiver spent in a long time..............

Sadly nothing more than I expected Joe. (when your manager starts screaming at certain fans that they are complete f*nnies, you know there are issues!). It's not just Taggart that comes away with brutal lines up here!

At least in two weeks time I get to miss another home defeat and instead see a home win v Exeter. Really confident that Stanley will do very well when they play their 3 home games in a week. I can see a possible scenario that invovles them not losing any. (2 wins and a draw - pipe dream perhaps but it really wouldn't shock me). As someone alluded to earlier, tonights victory will have done wonders for confidence and here's hoping the 2 or 3 required wins will come sooner rather than later. (though if I had my way we'd stuff Grimsby at their place!).

Re: Tonight s Game Vs Macc

What a great performance by the whole team tonight! Everyone on that pitch really played well! Kenny did some great saves! The back four looked solid, they could of attacked all night they were not going to score. Well done Rocky on getting the goal and it was a good goal, he played very well this match and the last match. Turner i think he should start on the wing made the cross for the first goal and played really, took on defenders, ran up and down the wing all game. Jimmy and Procter has a good game. Mullin and Linfield worked hard upfront all game. Would of been good if Mullin's goal would of stood. Procter looked like he enjoyed that goal it will sure get his confidence back up anyway and it was good like someone else has said they way he ran over to us as we were in the side stand and celebrated with the fans and the rest of the players! The lads must be alot more confident now going into Notts County away on Saturday. Miles played good on the wing, his first time back at his old ground. The whole team put in 110% today. Atmosphere the Stanley Fans were making from start to finish was brilliant none stop chanting. Wish every away game could be like that. At the end all the players come over and clapped and looked very happy so it was good that they appreciate the noise we was making. Look foward to see the goals again. MoM for me Turner or Edwards we are really going to miss him if he does not sign a new contract, and it woud be stupid if can not get Tuner to sign becuase he is going to be a quailty player for us.

Must agree Redraine, im wi no name were fab :D:D:D

Much harder to play at home because some home fans are on the teams back to quickly, which in turn puts undue pressure on the lads..... At least we are away Saturday :D

Good write up in the telegraph today about the game aswell. Look foward to reading Cav's bit in the Observer on Friday. I would also like to thank John Timmins and the Club for running and putting on the coaches, it was a good idea and it was well run. I do not think that many people would of gone had the coaches not been put on. Just wish we could take 2 coaches or more to every away game. Brilliant last night. Last time Rock scored was in 2006 so it was good for him to score again and break our duck of not scoring in how many hours it was :D

The difference between the league's isn't that great. Exeter and Aldershot have proved that.

I did not find it, it was posted on the ultras site so i posted it on here becuase i dont think it was just the ultras making noise every away fan was making noise last night it was fantastic:D! Also it says we played good football and that Miles ripped apart the defence so it always good for our fans and players to recive good comments from fans of different teams! However did attend in Dec 2006 and this was posted to internet as a "Moss Rose Steward's Blog" at the time:

" Anyway we got underway and I was moved to being Supervisor of the away seating stand really cr**py job. By 3pm we had around 250 Accrington fans in the ground and 50 decided to have a protest by standing up all the way through the game and banging on the windows to the offices which house the chief exec ....... Fleetwood, Donaldson, Bishop all on the way up from the Conference to League clubs. Mangan on his way down to the Conference from League clubs. Exeter and Aldershot do not have all the same players in their teams in the League that they had in the Conference. The difference between the leagues IS that great. Stanley win the Conference easy then struggle with the same players in League Two. Dagenham win the Conference easy then struggle with the same players in League Two.
