[quote=yerself;693022]The goalposts are 2' further apart in the Scouse league, that's why McGivern's scored a few. He couldn't hit a barn door from 5 paces when he was here.:rolleyes:Thought he was a good player when givern the chance.but never was.

Well I don't think he got enough starts, though I would like to see the stats. He always posed more threat up front than a lot of our recent signings. I would welcome him back, gob and all.

I think Lindfield can do a good job at stanley! He seems to be doing good at the moment! Ok he has not set the world on fire goal wise but he certinaly runs into space and onto mullins passes, never stops working! What we going to do when Mullin hangs up his boots? Who is going to come in and replace him becuase they will have a job feeling the gap that Mullin plays now.

In 77 appearances (collectively, including his loan spell here) he scored 10 goals. 14 of those appearances were starts, so you may have a point there. However I do believe he has a problem with volatility, and is not productive enough in front of goal to make up for it. Especially in the league.

When he came here on trial I asked a Rochdale fan for his opinion. He answered in three words, "Angry young man."

I think that there's some confusion here, as people seem be mixing up the statements about McGiven and Mangan.

There's a reason why neither of them are playing in the League right now and I think that's enough to justify Coleman's decision to let them go.
