Happy with a point, well done lads :) - now lets do the double over Port Vale on Tuesday

That's a decent result to be honest. With Chester and Grimsby drawing, it means that we're not losing ground and the games are running out.

good point Reds. 4 out of 6 from two away games is good form. Let's do the Vale on Tuesday.

Post match comments revealing that Jimmy Ryan intends to sign a new contract and stay at Stanley next season.

A point earned at a tough away ground, an odd celebration and some good news. Success! :)

Having just returned from the game, I have to say, although Stanley were under pressure for part of the game, Notts County were not that brilliant in front of goal either. John Miles was unlucky with a curler late in the second half, and I have to say, Stanley looked the only team likely to score. Referee and his assistants were total ham shankers. Paul Mullin again was wrestled from the ball on god knows how many occasions yet he was the one penalised every time. At one point in the match, I actually thought he was going to lose his cool. And quite rightly too. 2 players front and back of him jumping all over him yet he was penalised and got into a bit of an argument with the man in the middle.I honestly thought he may see red or yellow at the very least, but a stern talking to defused the situation. Yes a very well won point which could quite easily have been 3.

That would be brilliant - absolutely the best news for some time.

Disappointed that Notts scored the woeful "conversions" culminating in the one over the high stand roof and shots well wide of the goal were all they deserved.

Until the last half hour I had to dig deep to remember a less challenging home side.

Not really fair to single anyone out but Arthur, Edwards, Charnock, Ryan, and P Mullin, all rate a special mention.

The goal was great -well worth the 140 mile round trip from Congleton and the admission money.

Nice to speak to John Timmins at half time.
