Yes but no charge if you cancel before the end of 30 days. I had cherriesworld for Bournemouth v Stanley and the next 30 days. It's a pity Stanley don't do similar.

How come we can score form corner routines but can't defend them for toffee?!!!

MikeA 17-03-2009 19:24

Re: tonights game

John Miles seems to be running rings round the Vale defence. Radio Stoke jokingly just said, 'why doesn't someone go and kick him?'

'Every time Stanley attack they look dangerous.'

Great save from Kenny, tipped round for corner. Vale seem to be more positive this half.

Bobby Grant on for Craig Lindfield with 3 minutes to go and just slipped instead of shooting for a third goal.

Well done lads! Edging nearer safety. Funny how doubles to date are over near neighbours Macc and Vale.

No one at Notts on Saturday will be surprised they lost at home.

Better still Grimsby lost.

Jimbo T Hornblower 17-03-2009 20:58

Re: tonights game

Bloody crackin result! Grimsby, Notts County and Rotherham all dropped points :) Suddenly, 3 points means a potential 4 place shift in the right direction :)
I never thought we would get off 30 points and all of a sudden we are on 37 :) What the hell is going on at Bradford? Have they chucked in the towel?

Get in Stanley - bring on those falsely-placed non league Grecians :)

Re: tonights game

We were shaky at the back, but mostly dominant throughout the game. We'll have to tighten up for Exeter & Darlo - Phil Edwards had regular uncharacteristic lapses. Also, we're still causing problems for ourselves going forward with the lack of movement being the main issue. It's hard to dwell on those kind of issues with three points in the bag.

Kenny Arthur was Man of the Match for me. Nothing gets through that fella'.

Special mention to John Miles. He had some moments of brilliance before a series of spooned efforts.

Come on Accy :)

fer my money, was the best "First 45 mins" ive seen this season, usually start very slowly, fer me was game over at half time, not often ive felt like that at the F.E.S. meself i thought "Turner" deserved M.O.M. kenny did all he had to do,but lets get it right, that wasn't too much.:)

MCR ADIM 17-03-2009 22:43

Re: tonights game

What a game! First half was QUALITY we played them off the park! Every player worked hard all game! Two good goals! It was a good idea to do the set-piece routine early in the first half. Jimmy is now top soccer with 9 and he has helped what he said in paper today about winning the next 3 games. Another clean sheet not that kenny was busy all night but he did some brillant saves. Turner did deserve MOM. I think he is a very good player. When he is on the right/left wing we get more crosses into the box and he runs at the defence and always plays very well! Lindfield had another good game, never stop running his goals will come but aslong as he keeps playing aswell as he is doing than thats good. I did get little bit nervous 2nd half due to the Bradford game early in the season 2-0 and cruising than we let 3 goals in! Our defence was good again today, a few mistakes but everyone makes them. Hope it continues to saturday's game. The confidence must be running high in the dressing room or in Chris Turner's words " The dressing room is buzzing!" Which i think is the right word at the moment. 7 points from last 3 games. Let's hope it continue's! :)

Kenny Arthur made his 300th senior appearance tonight!

Their fans weren't too happy either - the only chant we heard from them all night was 'We want Glover out', they were still at it when we were walking away from the game. Hardly the way to support their team - no wonder the Vale players didn;t look like they had the heart for it.

Re: tonights game

After watching Port Vale beat Darlington on Saturday this win is a great result. While Port Vale beat Darlington 3-1 the game was a much tighter affair than the score suggest. Still this must give everyone in the Dressing Room a big lift. Exeter on Sat tough game, but Darlington on Tuesday who knows another 3 points would be good.

:) Taken from a post on vale forum :) If there's any voting going for best fans in the league, I'd definitely go for your lot; sang for 90 minutes + interest. Good natured, good humoured, funny chants... and what's the Monty Python thing with the shoe?

They made for much better entertainment than the match.
It's a cliche that "the fans deserve" this that and the other but you lot deserve all the success you can get.
