McEvilly

I see Evil has finally found his ideal club - been sent on loan to Barrow - should fit right in, at last he'll be a round peg in the right shaped hole

Don't even think it - if that had been the case I definately would have been staying home tomorrow

I still think it would have been an interesting scenario if Mullin had been sold to Shrewsbury a season or two ago and Evil would have been given the task of main striker at the club. We might all have been singing a different tune then.

I agree TM.

he was a tosspot but when he was scoring goals for us at least he was our tosspot!

he'd have done well for us at the time as main striker

Evil was very good, when he was good. Said to my mate, several years ago, that when he's older, and hopefully wiser, he'd be the replacement for Mullin we could afford.

I have a certain alignment with TM and Macca on this one. :pdry:

I have many, many, many not so nice memories of Lee McEvilly.

I do have one outstandingly brilliant memory though. Accrington Stanley v York in some mickey mouse cup, Paul Mullin wasn't playing and there was less then 800 fans on. Stanley weren't playing very well at all. Come the 88/89th minute Lee McEvilly takes the ball from the half way line, confidently takes it past two defenders and slots it past the keeper with a masterful finish. I'm probably exaggerating but that's how I remember it.

There's an inkling that wants to agree with the Oggies of this forum, but for now there are too many 'if's and 'maybe's that need to become realities in Lee's career.

Oggies? I'd like to think I'm unique, but otherwise yes.

As for Lee, Coley has probably been bitten once too often, but one last throw of the dice?

Let's face it, no-one, no matter what they've done deserves to finish up at Barrow, isn't that right Chief?

Do Blackburn fans not have an endearing nickname?
