In quite a bit of pain at the moment, not sure if it's slight whiplash through the force or a bang from the fall. Thanks for the concern though.

Massive win tonight.

Very tough physical game.

Turner would've got Man of the Match from me, with special mentions for Kenny Arthur, Jimmy Ryan and Michael Symes.

Just shows what our team can do with a little confidence and momentum.

Well done reds.

I was winding him up after game saying the ultras were composing a chant to the Rocky soundtrack for him :D His family said it wasn't a punch more of a girlie push on his part :p Craig said he was just looking out for Chris as it was a nasty tackle. Re: tonights game

What a game! Didnt think it was going to be played due to the pitch and the weather! Good job we got a roof! Pitch was holding abit of water, Edwards was captin due to cav being injured and Mullin not here thought he did very well organising the defence etc. What a goal that was he has to be signing of season, player of season, goal of season! Lindfield played quality if we could get him on a season loan next year that would be great. That tackle on Turner was very dirty could of broken his legs if he fully connected i do not care if the pitch was wet no need for that, Lindfield did well to stay on pitch i think if he had not of pushed him than he would of been sent off. They started using dirty tactics after 70min alot of tackles from behind, pushing etc. The tackle on Lindfield was also very dirty if he had properly connected Lindfield would of gone straight into the wall head first, Good job he did not react or he would of been sent off. Macca we used your first song for Jimmy its a brillant song. Clean sheet means Coley takes one for the team. The floodlights went out twice (or should i say flashed on/off) Great effort by all the lads. Hope it continues, they knew nothing about out tactics only thing they worked out was the corner rountie. Coley football genius! Turner played really well, He's going to be one of the main players next season. Back four played well just got abit nervous when they passed ball back and it stuck in the mud. Kenny made some great saves. Coley has got eveything right. Jimmy got what he said in paper 3wins out of 3! We seem to be safe now! Accy web is a more positive place to be! Everyones happy!

Don't think he will be suspended. If you don't get 5 yellows before the last sunday in Feb they don't count after unless you get 10 before the end of March. ( All dates are subject to clarification :) )

Re: tonights game

Here's the correct info :D

After February 28th the Football Assocation allow a yellow card amnesty for players who reach five bookings, meaning that any player who gets booked after this date will not receive a one-match suspension should he reach the threshold of five bookings.
However, the amnesty only applies to five yellow cards - players who accumulate a total of 10 cautions before April 12th will still be hit with a statutory two-game ban.

She got hit by the ball after a darlo player took a shot, she moved away to avoid it and ended up getting whacked on the back of the head and knocked off her feet...unfortunately she had to leave just after half time as her neck was giving her some significant pain...:( oh well change from me being a pain in her neck :D:rolleyes:

Re: tonights game

Got back home at 2 o'clock this morning. BUT very well worth the round trip. In terrible conditions, we out-thought, out-played, and out-worked Darlington. There were two or three superb saves from the Darlo 'keeper and another two or three very near misses. We looked dangerous going forward - not often we've been able to say that this season.

Congratulations to the Ultras who never seemed to stop to take a breath. It was interesting to see that the Darlo keeper turned and applauded them at the end of the game.

Tin Monkey 25-03-2009 09:51

Re: tonights game

I noticed the reaction of the 'keeper too and thought it was an excellent gesture.

We're looking very strong going forward at the moment and we seem more mobile than we have been earlier in the season. The team as a whole look more gelled together too, plus the added confidence is really shining through.

Darlington are no mugs and they have some very good players, but we dealt with them in a professional and highly effective manner.

Does the clean sheet mean that Coleman will now be showing his backside on Soccer AM? ;)

Cheers HR, & to all that was around me that came to my aid, been hit by the ball before but not with as much power as that one came at me - thanks darlo Franz, frustrated shot how wide did he want the goals!! Not impressed with one guy within the ultras [not willie miller, timmi or anyone who posts reg here may i make that clear] whom said i quote " we were all laughing, ya should of headed it" which at that point the funny bone was knocked out of me retorted that the shot was so fast the safest way was to attempt to duck or turn away, if i hadnt i would of been carted off in an ambulance, broken nose & my glasses smashed to my face!! Being knocked to the floor was bad enough & frightening enough for my daughters. Was too sore & in shock to continue with the match any further than 50mins, also benched players having a practice at our goal end lobbing them into the crowd around the goal posts at half time, did nerve me quite a bit, understand the fun but after what happened i didnt see it the same & made me quite anxious so left shortly after 2nd half kicked off.

Feeling a bit better today still rather sore in my neck but least not with the queasyness of last night, boy i didn't half wake up with a very sore head, worse than any hangover lol!!

Thanks for the concern that was posted, see kiwi, KP did make a nice post & much appreciated:D

Well this match wont be forgotten in a hurry [whatever i can fully remember, i did see tweety birds & stars flying above me head lol], better still we WON DARLO!

Was it that bad? On another day we could have won with a bit of comfort, especially second half. You can't blame Accrington for the conditions. I could name many many more grounds with open away ends, it's just been a long time since i got a soaking like that.

What kind of comforts do you expect? Heated armchairs with a nice footrest and a purring cat to stroke. Get ****ing real. I can only assume you haven't been following Darlo for long, cos what we got last night in terms of facilities (and weather) was an away fan's staple diet 10 years ago.
I will definitely be back next season given the chance, especially if the Crown pub produces a repeat of last night's glorious display of mammaries
