Last Home Game

Anyone see the logic behind making this game all ticket ? Apparently on police advice. Perhaps they have different intelligence on the game, but what do I know...?:confused:

edit - against Chesterfield

I am wondering how much of the clayton end will be usable on that date.. maybe thats a consideration ..They must have put some seats in by then but wont have it passed for use as isnt the cowshed..

the chester game to 1pm was plain stupid... drink on way... let em in crown for an hr before game to drink more then sell em drink on the match ....
but put the KO to 1pm so ....?

Yeh, I wasn't at the Easter Monday game so am not aware as to how far the installation has progressed. Suppose anything that affects crowd control, police will have an input. How boring .....my imagination was running riot with cohorts of subversives crossing the pennines.... oh well back to the loom.

So, apart from the fact that a large amount of Chesterfield fans may be coming, the other reason might be that the new seated areas - ie Cowshed and lower Clayton End - will be unusable at the time?

As no one wants to sit there anyway, does this mean that more matches will be all-ticket next season with home supporters' standing space (six steps on the upper Clayton End, plus the open bit in the corner, next to the Whinney Hill stand) at a premium?

if capacity is reduced due to unusable areas + large away support then problem.. I dont think they will make games all ticket just because fans dont want to sit in the seats... bordering on very silly now my friend :)

What I'm getting at is that the home capacity for the Chesterfield match will be no different than what it will be next season. Whether the seats are unusable or just shunned, it comes down to the same thing - standing space for home fans is at a premium...unless they're hoping that some "standers" will get fed up and transfer to the seats?

My understanding from a few of the officials at Stanley yesterday - them in dayglo vests - is that the away fans may travel in large numbers and try to get into any part on the ground and therfore could cause trouble ??? Unlikely I know but that was what was being said :)

Still nothing on the fishy site about when you can buy them and if all the clayton end will be open as it will be the 25th april close to the 1st may so like people said seats must be in or part in unless they wait until after the last game than install the seats

Do not think that the Clayton End thing is an issue, we can easily get all the people in safely, unless we have the largest crowd of the season by far :D On the Chesterfield thing they would have to be bringing well over 500, I think for there to be any trouble :)

P.S. How many more players are you going to put on your signature???? :tongueout :p :)

I think its the issue of controlling away fans, so if their allocation is sold out, if its all ticket then they cannot get into the home end by paying on the gate.

As a note, remember the last home game is also the date for the end of season presentation night 7.30pm onwards in the club house

£2 adults and £1 kids pay on the door :)
