So will the people who stand where the seats are going have to stand behind the last barrier where the ultras and that usually stand! The last 6 steps of the terrace.

Re: Fancy doing some screwing

Surely the seats will be bolted and not screwed, so all this 'banter' is largely incorrect.

;)

Exactly. It's the OSC and the supporters that get screwed, not the seats.

Tin Monkey 21-04-2009 20:15

Re: Fancy doing some screwing

People who can't tell the difference between a bolt and a screw don't deserve a party!!

:D

Stanleymad 21-04-2009 20:18

Re: Fancy doing some screwing

Put it another way fans will be bolting out before long nevermind the bolting in of the seats to seat fresh air:rolleyes:

Re: Fancy doing some screwing

I put that in the title to draw peoples attention to it :D
I'd better check my spelling, you will be picking up on that next

I am appalled, the club comes to its loyal fans asking for help, and all you can do is have a joke at its expense...........tut tut.

Do you not realise that it should be considered a HONOUR to be asked to give up your free time and labour to help the club stay in the league? Lets be honest, this seats business has been thrust upon them at very short notice, what do you expect them to do...........pay an outside contracter to do the job? No of course not, that would be too much, especially when they can rely on the goodwill of the fans.

(places tounge firmly in cheek!):D

Re: Fancy doing some screwing

I noticed the plea for help on the back page of today's Telegraph. It asked for volunteers to turn up at the Crown Ground with sockets and wrenches. What type of fixings are you intending to use, as this will determine the size of tooling required?

I helped Jimmy Hayhurst, of Accy CC, to fasten down over 250 of these seats, from St Mirren FC, at our cricket club. We used a type of 10mm concrete screw with a 15mm AF head, which is not the norm.

K.S.H 22-04-2009 20:00

Re: Fancy doing some screwing

17mm socket it says on fishy site

maccawozzagod 23-04-2009 09:14

Re: Fancy doing some screwing

I can't makt it tonight, got a works booze-up, I mean trade fair, to go to.

But if anyone (loweiy?) wants to take responsibility for em then I can lend as many wrenches and sockets as necessary.
