The way things are, they will not be the last. It is a very sad time for football at the minute, unless you are a loyal armchair supporter, then everything is hunky dory

:)You've got to feel for the fans in times like this.Does anyone no if Darlington are still going.......

Re: Chester City

I was talking with a Darlington fan yesterday and yes, the club are still going at the moment.

He also told me something very interesting, but in order the maintain security and boost my own general sense of self-importance, I couldn't possibly post it on here. :D

Chester have been ridiculously run for years and it doesn't come as any surprise. The fact that they made it to the end of the season is more surprising.

Reasonable summary in this article, twohundredpercent , although possibly reasonable isn't the right word.

I thought that this chap Whalley was Stanley "Through and Through":confused: Still think he has a place at Accy and could help us through this period of change....

I don't agree the only way he can help now is cutting his ties with Stanley and making sure all potential sponsors and fans know this.

is it a prelude to Coley being their new manager?

Re: Chester City

just reporting what i read Bagpuss!

i hope there is no truth in it, but it was widely thought to be a done deal mid way through last season. I think Coley (and Eric for that matter) would be foolish to even think about going there.

My brain had somehow made this connection when I woke up today.

But Steve Evans would be a great choice, he and Vaughn have a lot in common. :s_pooh:
