Glynn Hurst

Been released by Bury!

Was talking to a few Bury fans and they seem to really like him and have released him as they think they dont need him or need someone better to go for promotion next season!

He scored 8 goals this season from 17 starts which isnt a bad return!

A good striker that we could get as he has been released! Good experience aswell in the footballing world. He is getting on however he is younger than Mullin!

What do you think?

Would be a great signing, but could we part with wages & signing on fee for an established league player?
Dontfinkso.

There are going to be hundreds of players available, don't think that they will be able to pick and choose who they play for and demand big signing on fees and wages.

Very true and if they want to still play football and get first team opportunites than they can not pick and choose like you said! Just we have no updates on the players if they have singed new contracts or been given new contracts or if clubs have been interested in players? Fishy site has been same all week.

It won't take big demands from players to take their potential cost beyond the capabilities our budget, though, will it.

But if more empahasis is placed on bonuses, as it seems to be then it could be more of a pull, depending on how the club is put over to them.

The other side of the coin is there may be players out there who maybe just want to play football and money is not the be all and end all:eek:

Bearing in mind our playing budget, we cannot have broken the bank to get Jimmy and Chris to sign up.... So there may be some players who are playing for the love of it.....:)

No-one can sign anything until this flippin' takeover goes through - it's supposed to have been sorted 'in the next couple of weeks' for ages now - must be the longest two weeks since Andy Tretton's promised recovery

Probably take their potential cost beyond the capabilities of most clubs in league two. Players will have to lower their demands, most clubs in league two have cut their budgets so league two players will have to either lower their demands or sign on the dole.

Re: Glynn Hurst

maybe lower there demands to other league 2 clubs but not us. where cutting a budget that was already the smallest in the league. we are now running a conference budget so will be competing with conference clubs for conference standard players unless we get kids. i hate to say it never mind think it but this could be our last year in the league barring a miracle.
