Re: fighting fund
thanks fer t'translation Haggis - the tech speak was a bit o'er me head!
shares would be issued at a nominal cost i would imagine. the first post read to me as though you were asking whether you would receive shares according to the amount you put in - which would be no. one member, one vote etc |

Re: fighting fund
as soon as we have the company, directors and bank account up and running I'll try to get a paypal account sorted for further afielders. Failing that a cheque made out in the name of ........, or cash, postal order etc. I'll PM my address to those concerned and they can send anything to me. I'll post running totals as we go.

Re: fighting fund
I have drafted up a few ideas for the site - could do with a nod to go ahead with a version 0.1 ie make sure I'm not doing something timmins has already done :)

Re: fighting fund
What about doing a coast to coast challenge or perhaps Accrington to Torquay for next season's away fixture in a tuk-tuk?
Sponsored so it would raise money, could have a seperate competition to win prizes for the exact mileage covered and raise money with that as well? Plan the route to cover local radio stations and other media outlets to highlight what was being undertook and for what reason, set up the sponsored part through just giving so then the more that hear about the more people can donate, could maybe even have a daily blog for people to follow the progress of the trek:) Would take perhaps a fair bit of planning particulary in locating a tuk-tuk or something similar, but in terms of Google Page Ranking and raising money could be a Winner:) |
Re: fighting fund
Nice idea Google Page Ranking, I'm sat here with about 6 diferent ideas on sponsored events for the new fund, 1 of which involves the torquay fixture too!! just waiting for the first fundraising meeting to air the suggestions coz not sure how viable some of them are.
Keep em coming Google Page Ranking we're gonna need a shed load of ideas for this. |

Re: fighting fund
I've been thinking about ASSF, as it will rely on donations, would it not be able to be classified as a charity. If so then all the donations should be eligible for tax relief. I think the government will hand the 20% tax paid by the donator, to the fund.
Nobody seems to have brought this up, so maybe something to consider. |
Re: fighting fund
Just wondered about this fund, is there an account set up yet for people to donate into??? :)
