The Commercial side

With Lee heading this way, whats going to happen to the shop? Is it true that Micks going to run it? Can't see how that would work with all the other things he does. Someone has to man the thing...And whats happened to Player Sponsorship etc.??? Why are they still offering us last seasons squad? I realise we are short of playing staff, but we do have some and I can't fathom why the club isn't 'selling' them?? Does Dan still work at Accy? Are we having a new strip ... Why are we here???..

the comment about Mick running the shop was tongue in cheek I think KJ.

I couldn't comment on the rest though other than Dan is still there. could well be a case of there has been a lot happening recently and much is still to be done. The website though could really do with having all the players pulled off it other than those that are definitely still there. I'll probably sponsor a shirt myself this year but I aint sure who to go for!

The only thing I do know at the moment is that there is a good and positive atmosphere around the offices at the moment (EW not there on a daily basis?) and that things WILL change for the better - we just have to allow them a bit of time

I was looking to as well, but the club needs to get on with it or the money will go to another cause......

Hang on a bit, the players haven't reported back for pre-season training yet. We will no doubt have trialists and be signing new players. I don't think any team in the country knows what their squad will be for next season so how can they ask for player sponsorship yet ?

Cheers Jeff, point taken.

Re: The Commercial side

the website this last week has mentioned at least two lots of prizes having been offered through various places - the latest being via a raffle at a local amateur dramatics place. I don't whether these types of things have always been done but at least we are now knowing about these things and as fans we can see that the club is getting out and about and that the wider audience are beginning to see ASFC at every turn.

I suspect that this is the work of The Don with a free reign to do as he pleases. We'll soon get bored of dishing out plaudits but for the time being we should revel in the refreshing wind that has blown through Stadium Stanley

well done to those involved.

Not been in at all since the door was shut in my face; don't ever spend much on ale when I do get over, but I suppose every pound mounts up. I wonder just how much the club lost over the last couple of seasons.

Yes Doug, I haven't been in the clubhouse more than a couple of times since the Russell Whalley incident. Maybe with the new regime I should think again.
