Re: world wide web shirt sponsors again?

I fail to see why it's such a big issue to get these shirts. Did each player take their own shirt home and wash it ?

On behalf of my daughters friend I asked about the shirts on Wednesday night, I was told that the deadline for the players to sort them out was yesterday ( Friday). This seems to be an extension from my original reply the first time I asked when the deadline was given as 2nd July 2010. we feel extremely embarrassed about it all because it was a n off the cuff suggestion by us that made my daughters friend pay for the sponsorship.

On Wednesday I was told it hadn't helped because the players had been away down South, amazing really as it was Gary Kings away shirt that was sponsored, now to my knowledge I'm 101% sure he is no longer with Stanley.

Last season we were close to sponsoring one of them ourselves at the shop. We decided to wait until this season. We may take another season deciding if they can ever get this sorted before parting with our money.

I've had my shrine to John Mullin's away shirt for about two months now. Dan & Martin sorted it out dead quick. Struggling to see what the hold up could be with the others?

In the case of Gary Kings shirt it may have been put back in the shop as unused :D

Re: world wide web shirt sponsors again?

lol @ Dave!

some years I haven't been all that bothered about the wait for shirts, but last season they had two homes and two aways! surely they are traceable?

Funnily enough I usually have the shirts packed and sent away by June and the week after the thread goes up trying to get another 3 or 4 done, at this rate if I did it again it would season 2011-12 before I even get the money in let alone see who is in which pot!

Re: world wide web shirt sponsors again?

It's even more puzzling seeing that one set of shirts were available months from the end of the season with the switch to Joma

Re: world wide web shirt sponsors again?

Winnard and Proctor shirts now available, but they can't track down Mullins shirt (away). So I think we'll get the two shirts plus the one I already have and we'll do a draw at the Oaklea on saturday afternoon at 1:30pm should anybody like to be there to witness the 'impartiality' of proceedings!

Final reminder please for anybody who still hasn't paid to do so.

We'll do the draw for Mullins shirt at the same time, then I only ned to deal with one person as to how we progress with that should it not turn up!

:alright:

final reminder that the draw will be made in the luxurious surroundings of the Oaklea smoking area at around 1:30pm (bar queue permitting). The draw will be made by whomever is near me at the time who has entered. Shirts (except Mullin's) can be given out at the time if the winner is there, any others will be posted on monday. PM's will be sent for addresses.

good luck

Despite the inaptitude at club level over the previous shirt sponsorship; dare I ask if anyone is going to take it on this year under the “World Wide Reds Banner” or is it yet another closed door.

Rob, I can understand how you feel. You have done your utmost for us and the club and often it's been a thankless task due to the clubs lack of response to the initiative and support shown by you and the World Wide Reds in general.

I've look at the list of sponsors and I'm encouraged and tempted to do one through the Business; but I'm still dismayed by the lack of response by all those running the club to the current who's in and who's out situation. We could do with seeing some firm leadership coming to the fore to encouraged people to part with their brass; after all for a lot of the ground up supporters and businesses; money is not a plentiful resource.

I know accyweb maybe seen as a small thorn in the clubs side at times; but will someone at the top take the initiative and show an interest when we are trying to throw money at them.

Blimey the world will end tonight, I agree with you Doug :D

Re: world wide web shirt sponsors again?

to be honest with you it's not the club really that bother me in not doing again this year. If that was the only chasing around needed then I'd possibly put up with it. But you are constantly chasing people up for money or trying to get another 3 or 4 people to join in in order to get to shirt no 3, and then the club chasing you for money (that you've already paid) and trying to get hold of the shirts in time for presentation night and then ....

if anyone else wants to run with it then I'll gladly chuck in my tenner but I haven't the time or energy this year to get involved in anything at all other than remembering to wake up every morning!

We have the facility to accept paypal payments so I guess it would be easy for us to be the goafers.

The problem is how do we get assurance the shirts will turn up at the end of the actual season ? The same question applies to us getting one as a business too

Maybe someone at the club might seize the initiative....

Re: world wide web shirt sponsors again?

It's a real shame and I understand perhaps people's reluctance to part with their cash if it becomes a chase around to get the shirts come the end of the season.

It is one of the best ways for Supporter's & business's to show their support for the Club and players at an affordable price whilst also getting something back in terms of showing their support for the Club.

It was discussed at last month's OSC meeting with a suggestion we sponsor a shirt and then have a draw for the said shirt at the End of Season Presentation Night with all members being in the draw but the concencus was what has already been posted.:o

Maybe if somebody takes ownership of the problem at the Club it will bring people back on stream.

Re: world wide web shirt sponsors again?

Good Morning All,

As you have probably noticed, i have taken over all responsibilty of shirt sponsorships. I can assure you that i will not allow anyone to pay for something and not recieve what they have paid for in return. I only arrived here in May and i have tried my upmost best to get shirts out to fans and businesses from last year even though i had no dealings with it then.

Player sponsorships from now on will go directly through to me. Any problems (there will be none) or questions i will deal with them as politely and efficiently as i possibly can to ensure you recieve the customer satisfaction you deserve! You can email me at [email protected] or telephone me on 01254 356957.

This is how it now works: Once payment is recieved (£100.00 Donation), Your name/company name will appear on the official website and also in the match day programme. You will recieve a player sponsorship certificate within 5 working days of the recieved payment. At the end of the season the players signed shirt (home or away) will be available for collection or will be dispatched to your chosen address. All details are recorded on a database to ensure i have all contact information needed to keep you in the know. The shirt will come with a certificate of authenticity. After that you will get the say so to whether you would like to renew your sponsorship for that player before the season starts. If no confirmation comes back i will then re-open them to the general public.

I hope this all makes sense and will clarify the way i like to work!

Kindest Regards,

Danielle Fox
Commercial Executive

Danielle. Thank you for the clarification, as you have pointed out you have only been around since May this year so, you should know how by now how difficult it can be for supporters to make any headway with the club at large; things happen, people happen and things change only to slip back to the old dark dank days of nobody taking responsibility.

You appear to have Balls on the face of your post; are you prepared to take the dog by the bollocks and show your colleagues how to run a business for the club and the supporters.....

Like i just posted, i now have full responsibilty for player sponsors as of season 2010/2011. For enquiries before then i'm afraid i wasn't here and it would be best to take them up with the commercial manager as he was here at the time. I'm moving onwards and upwards and can promise better service this year round.

Looks like you're being fobbed off, Rob. Maybe it's a long way from the Commercial Executive's desk to the Commercial Manager's desk.

Re: world wide web shirt sponsors again?

sorry Dannielle, maybe you misunderstand. A few weeks ago you emailed me with reference to renewing the sponsorships and i pointed out that i still hadn't received the last lot. You then managed to sort 2 of the 3 (one was away instead of home though) and you were getting back to me within 2 weeks.

Please don't think anyone is having a go at you personally, but you did say to me that you would post it for me. Would you like me to email you the details?

How to shoot yourself in the foot as quickly as making yourself an heroine !!

You are in the same department, why don't you get on to Martin.

I've just had my daughters friends Mum in the shop. She tried to ring the club yesterday and the person she needs to speak to wasn't available. She is constantly being fobbed off with 'we will call you back' ( never gets a call) or the previous excuse.

At the time this young girl was 13 yr old, she sold her psp and games to buy the shirt sponsorship. You lot don't even have the decency to return a call. Disgraceful

I appreciate you weren't around at the time but you are now. Given the mood of her Mum just now I suspect next week you may even get a mention in the National newspapers
