Exclusive Season Ticket Collection Event
As a thank you to all of the fans who have renewed their season tickets forhttp://www.accringtonstanley.co.uk/g...ge_100x107.jpg the 2009/10 season we are holding a special evening collection event on Wednesday 5th August at 7pm in the Buy the House lounge.

This will give season ticket holders a change to meet several members of the ASFC team, give youngsters the opportunity to get signatures and give you the opportunity to meet the new management team. It will also give you the opportunity to use some of your ASFC vouchers in the store and to we will be taking hospitality bookings for fans who want to make use of their £10 discount off hospitality next season. The evening will be a casual celebration and we welcome all season ticket holders. Commercial Manager Dan Warburton added, “It’s a great way to reward fans for their loyalty and a welcome introduction to the new regime at the club. I think the event will have a fantastic open feel to it and give the fans an opportunity to meet the new players and staff. We look forward to meeting everyone on the evening.”

If you are unable to attend the season ticket collection evening season tickets will be available for collection from Wednesday 5th August 2009. We look forward to seeing you at ASFC in the new season.

What?...we're going to get our season tickets before the season starts? And the club are being all friendly and welcoming to us (even when they don't want something)? That makes a refreshing change! :)

I didn't feel welcome today when me and the lad went up to collect what we won on ebay, nobody to run the shop so nobody to serve me, talk about my son being disappointed when we left empty handed. I saw no refreshing change just the same sour faces, my stuff was there Rob had left it under the counter but nobody could be arsed looking so I now have another journey to make tomorrow because it's been left at the Crown, nice. I hope they employ somebody to man the shop when season tickets will be available or it could turn into a farce.:(

I won a rain jacket on the 20th July and it arrived today by post so at least that part has improved.

So it was you who outbid me:(

If I'd used the option of delivery by post the items would have been delivered but I choose to collect. Rob Heys did what he said he would but my bugbear is why nobody has been employed to run the shop since Lee left. I wasn't alone up there today as people were arriving to buy tickets for the Burnley game, to me it was an opportunity to sell some stuff as people would go in the shop for tickets.:(

Why employe someone to run a shop which maybe occupied 1 hour per day? Possibly less during the summer? As long as they have 2 or 3 staff on matchdays and are willing to open it up when people turn up, no full time shop staff is a neccessary cost saving for a small league 2 club.

Agreed but they wouldn't open even though there was customers.

Same old story...one step forward, two steps back. The people/persons who couldn't be bothered to go and get your lad's item should have their backsides right royally kicked, accompanied by a lesson on the importance of good customer relations...and a reminder that there are a lot of unemployed people out there!

There were two items for the lad but what is most annoying I've just made a brew in a plain cup because my new Stanley cup is still in a bag up Whalley Rd.:(

So, what happened, Baggy, did someone in the office say "the shop's shut and it's not my job to open it" or words to that effect?

I think there has also been no shortage of volunteers and I'm pretty sure a certain supporters group have offered to help in the past, and thats coming from somebody who knows nowt ;)

Re: Season Tickets

It was arranged for me to collect from the shop with Rob Heys, when I got there I saw a sign on the shop door to use the reception. In I went, it must have been a good 3/4 minutes before someone appeared, other customers had joined me by then. I asked why the shop was not open and was told we have nobody to run it, I explained I was there to collect as arranged with Rob but was told he was meeting with the council???
A brief look around the reception area found nothing so she instead of looking in the shop as I suggested she asked for my number to give to Rob. I asked if tickets were available to buy from her and she said yes and produced some. If you're selling tickets here why not open the shop door and sell them from there and at the same time have a look for my goods, who knows you might sell a couple of shirts from fans buying tickets. I could tell from the "I'm sucking a lemon expression" that I was getting nowhere so I left.
Rob did ring when he got back telling my wife that he had left my items under the counter but because it was too late for me to go back up he would leave them at The Crown.

Wynonie Harris 24-07-2009 21:21

Re: Season Tickets

Rob seems to have gone out of his way to help, but the rest of it sounds a right soddin' shambles. This "it's not my job" attitude is just the sort of thing the club don't need with their stretched resources. Plenty of workless people out there who WILL make it their job and, as Dave says, plenty of volunteers too!

That's a shame. It's no consolation but I got a completely different, very friendly welcome when I called in this morning with Mick, Vicky and Rob all offering to get something from the shop for me.

Got my stuff today after a walk to The Crown, quality items, while sampling a pint there was a steady stream of people buying tickets for the Burnley game but not buying beer so that plan didn't appear to be working.
