New skipper

From the LET

"ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman has appointed Andy Procter as the club’s new captain – and he has also hit out at referees who he feels are penalising the Reds for their reputation.
Coleman moved swiftly to install Procter as club captain following Peter Cavanagh’s eight-month ban for betting offences.
John Miles has been named as vice captain ahead of veteran striker Paul Mullin, who nevertheless had good news as his wish to be taken off the transfer list before the start of the season was granted ahead of Saturday’s loss at Rotherham.
Coleman said: “Andy has got a good personality about the dressing room. He has to be an extension of me and Jimmy (Bell) on the pitch.
“I think both him and John Miles have got enough responsibility about them to carry that out.” "

Wasn't on fishy when I posted it - was on LET timed at 2.00pm. I did look to see if it was already on the web - missed page 2 of Feeling Good. Sorry to have posted something that was apparently already available - just thought people might like to know ....................

Good luck to Proccy tonight against Walsall in his first game as captain. Let's hope he can be a good ambassador for the club and lead by example.....oh, and let's hope he starts with a win!

Who says that he is playing tonight or does it mean that now he is Captain he is the first name on the teamsheet.

As we seem to have some decent cover in our squad I wouldn't mind seeing a few changes, especially Kee and Symes starting up front together, but that's probably pie in the sky.

Thanks for posting this topic - so many bits of news are jumbled together into the same thread it's easy to miss them - nice to have a bit of clarity.

Not sure about Proccy as captain tbh, hope it doesn't mean he is played every game, think Joyce and Ryan are the better combo
