Given the oppositon and the fact its a cup game I'd give a couple of fresh faces a run and try out this formation properly, without the pressure of it being a league game.

I'm with you on this one with one exception, I would put Joyce in Proccies place and King/Richardson at the back. Give the new boys a chance, no pressure at all. if we win, then all well and good, if not, then no harm done.

I don't go with that one, they can be the best player in the world in training but it's what they do on the pitch that matters. Benitez sees Lucas in training but we can all see what he does on the pitch.:(

Well after the Shrewbury game where we learned a few things the hard way, I'd like to revise my ideal starting XI:

Martin
Winnard Kempson (c) Edwards Richardson
Turner Ryan Joyce(vc) Miles
Mullin Symes

Subs: Dunbavin, Murphy, King, Procter, Mullin, McConville, Kee

Not a bad line up Shaker, but a couple of things... I think that Mullers and Symes are all but the same style of player and I would not play them both at the same time - would have Kee in for one of them - and the most strange selection is Turner??? You must know something that Coley doesn't, because he never plays....   :)

Agreed - Grant nowhere to be seen. Kee for Mullin though.

Noticed yesterday how Mullin was merely substituted for Symes in a long-ball-to-the-lanky-man game. If we're going to do that, we might as well have two instead of just the one ;) . I'd like to see Mullin and Symes up front together, I think they'd be a real handful.

...and the subs bench should have read McConville/Grant. Sorry, Redraine!
