National papers today
Has anybody been clever enough to spot in the national press today a half page advert for ITV?? ( will scan it and post it tomorrow AM):)
Basically there's a green football pitch with various famous stands, eg: the Shed End, the Stretford End the Gol Nord Stand and THE WHINNEY HILL TERRACE!!!! I wonder which researcher had the knowledge on that??? And more importantly how can we turn it to our advantage????:p Over to you wise folks:cool: |
Re: National papers today
not seen a paper today MR.T but if some P.R. person from the club were to contact ITV, using a bit of common, this could possibly be turned to advantage.;)

Re: National papers today
Fired off an email to 'em earlier, suggesting that as they'd used the name of our world-famous stand in their ad, they might make a modest contribution to the SOS fund. Also, pointed out that it would make a good human interest/Google Page Ranking story, from their point of view.
Unfortunately, received the standard rejection letter ("we receive a great many requests...unable to support your fund...blah, blah, blah"). :( Never mind, nothing ventured, nothing gained. |

Re: National papers today
Wynonie, did you contact ITV or did you contact the advertising agency? I don't think ITV would be much help - it would be their agency who produced this. I'm pretty sure that agency is BBH (Bartle Bogle Hegarty) or at least it was them six months ago. If it still is, they could be more helpful.

You could ask 'em if they're running off any T-shirts with the design on and if so, if Stanley could have some. It would be give more free publicity for ITV as well as some one-upmanship and publicity for Stanley over every other club from Div 2 to Championship. Or failing that, see if there is any of the original presentation artwork they could pass on. It could raise a few bob sold locally or on ebay.

Re: National papers today
Should do one that includes all the teams that have helped us.
This is it so far, plenty more stands to come hope fully. http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...82/crown-1.jpg |
