ASFC needs you! Stanley v Rovers - Tue 13th October
http://www.accringtonstanley.co.uk/g...ges/rovers.gif
Sam Allardyce will bring our Premiership neighbours Blackburn Rovers down to the Crown Ground on Tuesday 13th October for a match to raise funds for the Save our Stanley campaign, kick off 7.45pm.

Admission will be priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions with tickets available this evening from Accrington Stanley and tomorrow morning from the Ewood Park ticket office. Supporters will also be able to pay at the turnstiles on the night.

Speaking about the gesture Stanley chief executive Rob Heys said "It is a great move from Blackburn and Sam to bring a side across, that will be made up of their first team squad who aren't away on international duty.

"People often think that being so close to two Premiership sides is a problem for us, however our neighbours have been superb in their support for Accrington Stanley at this dificult time."

Damn you cruel fate.

I haven't been away with work for over ten years and guess which bloody night I will be away next week, b*gg*r!

Nevermind I will send my gate fee to the SOS fund.

Will this be the first time David Dunn will be on? Have his complimentary tickets dried up since Eric left? International break, would this be a good time for our Marcelle to bring a few of her Premier league mates down, for some pre match hospitality?

Great news that Rovers are playing us before the deadline but...

Think of the policing/ stewarding costs.
Remember this is being played just a few days before the Rovers v Burnley match. Surely there are safety issues, especially as you can pay on the gate.
Many Accy based Rovers and Burnley fans will be interested in this match. Has this been thought out?

I am presuming tonight's match will not be rearranged for next week.

Well i went to burnley v stanley match with 2 rovers fans and 2 burnley fans ... and there was no trouble with them ... ok the 2 rovers fans were my brother and his daughter .. the 2 burnley fans were my nephews ...

but there was no trouble at the burnley match .. and plus on top of that there probably a few rovers fans there ... and theres a picture somewhere on here from the darlington match was it .. fans wearing rovers shirts and burnley shirts were stood next to each other talking ...

Do you work for Lancashire police ? I'm suprised they don't pay a few Burnley & Rovers fans to start a punch up to prove themselves right

Personally I think Rovers fans will be livid if many of the first team turn up. Risk of injury five days before their cup final :D

Now, now, Mab, let's not get carried away. A burger and a bottle of lager behind the Coppice End at halftime would probably suffice. After all, he doesn't want to go spoiling her, does he? ;)

I hope the Burnley/Blackburn thing is not an issue on Tuesday night, In my humble opinion we will be there for one reason and one reason only the survival of my team ASFC, all ill feeling should be left at home and all supporters should be able to stand/sit together whatever their colours and if the minorlty out there are looklng at it as a chance to cause trouble then please don,t come.

To be honest I think very few Burnley fans actually know the game is taking place.

 Don't no why but may be its to gauge what interest this game attracts from the blackburn supporters, if they sell out then we could be in for a half decent crowd!! I've asked afew br fans over my way if they would be going and yes was the answer so heres to a good attendances:)

I think it may be something to do with reserved seating in the stands. From memory when they made the Burnley friendly all ticket in July they did the same, and as you will be well aware there more than 300 Burnley fans present :)
