Today's LET

In today's telegraph under the heading 'Lazarus says 'We need investment' Marcelle is quoted as saying 'We're looking for someone to come in and say 'Here's £200,00 for you' - doesn't she know someone already did but was refused - I give up!
Sorry - just seen that this is already in another thread.

Ssomebody did but there were conditions attached. She wants the impossible - somebody to GIVE £200,000 with no conditions attached.

I hope you cleaned it up.....I won't repeat what went through my mind; safe to say I hope that this lady isn't hoping to make a career out of public relations.

Not only Vulgar Kev....but an infantile statement almost beyond belief from one who is in such a powerful position to exercise the authority and influence which could possibly be the deciding factor in whether Accrington Stanley survive as a Football League Club !.....

So Vulgar!...beyond belief!.. and YES in it's implication a bit scary also..!.

Both Alfred.E. and myself when reading these words paled visibly and agreed that at last we WERE Worried!!....

'STARING INTO THE ABYSS NOW DAVE....ACT QUICKLY !!'

Re: Today's LET

It seems almost bonkers that Ms Lazarus is asking for £200k from the public domain but there has been an offer on the table for months from Ilyas. This just smacks of incompetence and a complete lack of leadership, it basically suggests that have no idea of how to raise the money themselves so now they are pleading in the local rags. The DON should just swallow his pride and get on the phone to Ilyas and agree a deal to move the club forward.

She said: “We’re hoping that we will be able to do some kind of deal with HMRC and we’re still quite hopeful that we’ll find the money”. This quote really just shows the lack of business knowledge she has, there is no way on God's earth that HMRC will "do a deal" the only option is to find all the money and its that simple. I hope the club find the money but I can't see it happening. Personally, I think that ASSF would have been a great way of helping to get the club back on a better financial footing.

Sooner or later the real reasons for the refusal of Ilyas' offer are going to have to come out; I think I already know them, I think we all do.
The board at Stanley should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, the club is and always been bigger than the players and bigger than the board, it's time these pathetic ,weak minded individuals put their own money where their mouth is or grow the cojones to admit they have ballsed up spectacularly and do the decent thing!

Surely the reason is not to be found beyond our Ken's avatar? And I don't mean his new pint of Guinness one!

The phrase that comes to mind is that the Board of Directors is 'Not Fit for Purpose'.

Totally agree with you LO....and 'Discretion being the better part of Valour! (plus the wrath of our Administrators!)...forbids me from amplifying my suspicions!!.

'WHERE ARE THEY TAKING YOU STANLEY ???'

I would strongly suggest that such matters are left to those directly affected to either reconcile themselves or report to the authorities. It’s not our place to make accusations or to throw other peoples mud.
