Re: v Rovers
Was anyone impressed by what Rob Heys had to say, for those that did not hear it, the club are hoping to raise approximately £150k through the SOS and the directors possibly putting in a further £100k ie £58k short. Are the HMRC going to accept this? or will they shut us down because we are short. To me it seems that the HMRC would be fools to close the club down because we are £58k short. But there must be assurances from the club that this remaining money will be paid by the end of the tax year 2009/2010. Lets hope so. Worried me - your darn tooting I am.

They eventually opened the cowshed seating area as the clayton end began to get packed. The away end remained closed though |

I'll have the Rob Heys interview on the 2BR website in the next hour or so for anyone that missed it...

Re: v Rovers
Did anyone see the shares option in the programme? It was a limited number of 1000 shares for £250 plus VAT each. I personally think it is wrong to be doing something like this just weeks after Ilyas requested a share issue. What is so wrong about ASSF asking for a share issue for £500k?

I don’t think that’s what Rob said; what I got was the £150k from the fund, £100k from the club and some short term loans form willing bods until all the schemes are played out, It was Dan at the end of the report that mentioned the £150k from the Fund + £100k from the Directors. Either way it would appear that they have done what they needed to do. A fantastic response from Blackburn Rovers and their Supporters, as well as Accy and all the neutrals that came and showed us that we’re not alone. A good day for all of us. |

Any chance of getting it scaned? |
Re: v Rovers
I personally think it's wrong mainly because fans have been donating thousands of pounds to the SOS fund and not getting anything in return. If the club would have done something like this 6 weeks ago then I think it could've enticed them into investing money into the club via shares and this coupled with the ASSF offer would've meant the club could be run by the fans. It seems to me that the club have just been waiting for people to put as much into the SOS so that the directors have less to put in themselves. I also think the price of £250 is very unrealistic in the current credit crunch, there will be some people that will take it up but what happens if the club gets wound up? The shares will be worth nothing and the fans will be out of pocket.

Re: v Rovers
The Rob interview is now here - 2br -
He did indeed say 150K from the SOS fund, 100K in investment from directors and the remainder in short term loans. Expect more details tomorrow - will do my best to keep you up to date! Dan |

Re: v Rovers
88k in the pot so far, 61k short. Where's that going to come from?
Possible 15k tonight still leaves a big hole:confused: |

A little under £300 to say you own shares in Accrington Stanley; I haven't got it to spare and she'll kill me if she got wind of it; but i will have it before the end of the week... :D |

How do these shares count in the 100% of total shares ? Does this affect other shareholders % ie 51% becoming 45% ? How do the club value 'B' shares ? How are they valueing(?) the club ? So many Questions..... And WHY now ??????????????????????????????????????????????? |

Re: v Rovers
Credit from Rovers fans:-
"Agree with BR FC, I thought Stanley did well. They looked good technically, perhaps were slightly slower than Rovers but most of the match was fairly even. Rovers had 5 or 6 good shooting opportunities which they didn't take but passed instead and I wondered if that was deliberate, so as to let Stanley off the hook? Well done to Stanley fans for making a lot noise throughout the game. Stanley deserve to survive just because of you lot. Trouble is there's not enough of you at about 1000 a game. I hope the management can find ways to attract more fans." |
Re: v Rovers
I'm assuming nobody has any highlights or the goals?
