to everyone on this thread. BOth Peter and I appreciate your sincere comments. there is an awful lot to do in the short term - please do not forget that the debts are far in excess of the current £308k that is the basis for the winding up order. I hope that everyone who is optimistic and positive on this board will be happy and smiling not just next week, but years from now.I certainly am hopeful and am planning out my travel plans for the rest of the season's games !

clayton red - that is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said. I am such a patriot and so so very proud of the accrington pals. Nothing we could ever do would compare to the bravery of those people, but to even be considered in the same breath (even in jest) is too much. SO please, whilst I am appreciative of all the comments, lets keep this in perspective. With Rememberance day coming up (and i try each year to be in Accrington for that occasion and pay my respects to all those who laid down their lives for us), the accrington pals remain right at the top any list of people and groups that deserve our real respect.

So please dont take this the wrong way. I am grateful and very embarrassed by some of the comments, and i know you are a genuine fan, so i would hate to come across negative. And at the end of the day, there is a real team involved, who will take forward what has been created today.

Hope to see you at the game on saturday.

Its very much thanks to you Ilyas and Peter that we still have a club and are not now mourning the lost achievements of the last 41 years.
