Re: damaged pride
Im just praying that a line can be drawn under this episode in 6 days.
O Neill & Heys out for a start. And as ilyas says we need 100% TRANSPARENCY on HOW MUCH and WHERE the club owes money !! |
Re: damaged pride
Ummm ....
I support the club, not the management - management is only temporaray - and my pride in and support for the club that wouldn't die is not in any way damaged by managerial fiascos. Only Norman's first point (and for my own peace of mind I choose not to believe his assertion - let''s remember nobody was charged with match fixing over the Bury game) could be a reason not to turn up to support the team. Whilst I agree the management failed to capitalise on the return to the league, I don't see why that should have stopped Norman making the trip from Baxenden occasionally, assuming he knew it had happened. Nobody had to ask me to travel from Pompey to watch the first home game back in the league, and Rovers weren't playing that evening .... And I don't think even the most arrogant management really expected 10000 Accringtonians to roll up at our 5000 capacity stadium :D Respect to Norman for contributing to the fund (and now the debate), and no, of course he wasn't wrong to show his affection in that way. But if he really wanted to switch his allegiance to Stanley, he would have done so before the latest hoo-hah blew up. I think, whoever's in charge of ASFC at the time, he'll still be wearing blue and white and in despair the day we knock Rovers out of the Cup :) |

Re: Lt 29/10/09
I think we can summarise - O'neill and Heys only care for their own jobs and important titles.
Anyone with the interest of ASFC would have taken the ASSF offer. Neither of them have the abiliy to run a football club. So many mistakes, so much lies and spin, so many bad decisions. No more excuses - OUT. |

Re: Lt 29/10/09
The more I read that interview, the angrier I become.
The simple fact of the matter is that had Ilyas & Peter Marsden not been in that court room, ASFC would have ceased to exist yesterday. For the club to say that they were waiting for the funds to clear so that the directors £100k could be paid is just not acceptable. It was their RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that money was available - they had known the deadline for long enough. Even if that part of the interview answer is true, it reveals incompetence of the highest order. To claim some kind of mix-up in court is an expression of similar incompetence. There should be no mention of "unforeseen difficulties". Competent managers foresee and anticipate difficulties - that is their job. Finally, why is there no mention of those who supposedly reneged on loans? That seems to have been forgotten. Was it another part of the smokescreen? |
Re: Lt 29/10/09
:mad::(:eek: We need action NOW.
TRANSPENCY = Give us the facts about the actual financial state NOW. HONESTY = DON and the board admitting that they need help NOW. EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT = Positive action with UNITY to get the bill paid this week. Q to DON - Why no statement on the club website follwing the court appearance and a thankyou to Ilyas for last minute rescue? All the supporters want is some clear and honest information and to know DON's intentions. |
