I bet there are some very relieved spouses out there tonight who must have been fed up of their partners going on about this, so maybe a few relationships have been saved as well as the Stanley lol.

Haven't found the official statement but have got the gist. And don't you just love Ilyas' subtlety in the way he clued us in to the deparately awaited news. All day long I've lived with the thought that in '62 the last game I saw was at Aldershot and a repeat in '09 seemed on the cards. Distance precludes me joining you good folks, but off to watch little ol' Selsey play the Sussex league leaders - will drink a silent toast to you all at half time ! Who said summat about the victory being more glorious after a bit of a struggle ?

It's been one hell of a ride, there are bridges to be re-built and bridges to still be constructed but the main thing is we still have a Club, one that in those far flung corners of the planet (as well as Accy) will come to know & love once more as we can say over & over again.......

On Stanley Stanley:)

Re: Celebrate Good Times, Come On!

:):):):):) Come on Stanley!!! Thanks must go to Ilyas for the financial rescue. Now lets all follow his lead, get behind the new management team and work together for a better future for our famous little club. No more talk of protests and witch hunts. Yes we have all thought and said things about the previous leadership but we have a new beginning, a new dawn. Lets have a big sing and shout and win on Saturday in the cup and give us a chance of a bigger draw in the next couple of rounds.....Man Utd away in the third round ??? and we could finish the seats in the Cow Shed!!! A good turn out next Tuesday would be great to thank our friends from Bury and the wider football fraternity. I am lifted, as I hope you all are, by todays great news. :):):):):)
ON STANLEY ON!!!

Now we've all done some celebrating in various forms I've got to ask, Eric Whalley, what's the score? Will we ever see his mug back at the Crown Ground, is he still involved with anything Stanley? I hope not!!!

Joy in town as Accrington Stanley saved (From Lancashire Telegraph)

...pity they couldn't get the name of Saturday's opponents right!
