I would sincerely like to invite ALL to join with me in a celebratory half in the Crown pub tonight.

This invitation extends to:

the fans, we all deserve this moment for all the slepless nights and endless bucket collections and dipping into pockets.

to Dave O'Neil, Rob Heys and the outgoing board of directors for finally sitting down and having the good grace and dignity and humility to work out a viable solution to the mess.

and most of all to Ilyas Khan and Peter Marsden and their collective families for reasons that need no further words.

this offer does not extend to Mr Whalley.

Thanks to everybody who supported the SOS campaign, Thanks to all the organisers of various fundraisers and events. Thanks to all the people on the tarmac and pavements with buckets. Thanks for manning stalls. Thanks for putting up with ridicule and abuse from people who said we were idiots.

Just got back (1/2 hr ago).......was great to see the 'old Stanley Spirit' again :)

Was also great to Idris Khan there enjoying a glass of wine with us all, a true Gent just like His brother.

Great night last night, just to feel and see the relief on the faces of so many (And so many who have given/done so much) Fireworks.... Well, take cover springs to mind :D
