But someone I know thought very highly of THE Lady Rob !!...

Here are some of his thoughts on Marcelle 'Happy' Lazarus...

On her arrival..

"Cheers, SM - sounds very promising! .."

and later..

"Cheers, Mike. She sounds a very enterprising lady...just the sort we need. I or if Fonesndewtyle UK will now be sponsoring us in some way?"

Following some criticism of her 'invisible qualities'...

"Despite that, she still sounds promising!"

To underline his continuing confidence in 'Happy'

"Well, I'll say this for her, the girl's got ambition!"

After news of her resignation broke...

"Shall I be the first to say it?...How will we ever manage? "
(I think this was in a more cynical mode though!)

And Finally....and how tragic is this reversal ???

"As for the hapless Marcelle, her intentions were probably good, but she was obviously totally unsuited for the role. The fact that she got the job in the first place says a lot about the judgement of the person who appointed her! "

How fickle some men can be where blondes are concerned !!!...

I'll leave you to guess who this love-lorn swain was !!

(Alfred.E. still maintains that she was a liittle cracker...or was it 'a lttle crackers'...can't remember which!)

Very kind of you, Mr Y, but I think it's about time Alfred E. got his hand in his pocket, with all that brass he's won on the bandit!
