£200,000 your having a laugh

Accrington Stanley fear losing £200,000-rated striker Grant Lancashire Telegraph - Accrington Stanley ,....£200,000 and the rest if you please,i recon more like £500,000+ for Bobby at least:)

The one thing we must do is get that sell on clause in there, just like Brett :)

Too right Valairian. It would be good if the club was secure enough to refuse a transfer fee though; get another couple of seasons out of the lad while he develops his game as a striker.

it depends how many clubs are in for him

you need at least 3 clubs to be interested to get a figure around £500,000
if its just derby county, then they will only offer £200,000 and in the current situation, the club will have to take it.

Also what is more important, a big up front fee or a smaller up front fee with a sell on and performance initiatives which could command upto £1,000,000.

Too right on of the questions i was going to ask Ilyas, do we have to sell players in January/august, or could we keep them, and would the money go to coley to help bring new players in after the transfer ban is lifted.

Bobby Grant is worth alot more money that than, he has a great talanted and only more is to come out of the lad, Nice sell on close would be good. Plus 700k,

Rather keep him for next four years though

I agree in what your saying Dav007,But i'd rather have the cash in the bank in stead of hoping that the sell on clurse comes in to play, just have to look at the 2 resent players sold G,Roberts (ipswich) I Crany(swansea) one came back only to be sold on again both to play for Huddersfield.no extra money for stanley apart from when we sold crany to hudders and hes on loan to the shrimps.:)

IMHO it's more important, from a playing point of view, that we hang on to Michael Symes for the foreseeable future.

True or untrue I always think that speculation of another clubs interest in a player from higher up the leagues will only give a player a confident boost - Thus increasing his performance .

Hopefully I won't be eating my words after the bantams match.

That's a double edged sword and depends more on the maturity of the person involved:eek:

thats oh so true, wouldn't like to see young grant go this early in his career, if its speculation its undervalued by todays prices i think, more cash plus clauses etc, if n when it happens is a must.

I think grant is a good player but didn't grant holt only go for 500,000?

I know he is younger but he hasn't got the experience of a proven striker my guess is you should hold on to him for as long as possible as i think 200,000 is a correct valuation at the moment

Macclesfield want £500k for Wayne Rooney's brother so reckon we should want the same for Grant

The most important thing about any deal, has to be the sell on clause, that is where - hopefully - the money will be :)
