From Barnet site
ADOMAH TO MISS CUP REPLAY Posted on: Mon 07 Dec 2009 Albert Adomah, who is on crutches after limping off at Bury with an ankle problem, is the latest addition to Barnet's growing injury list. An x-ray has revealed that the 21-year-old winger has not broken anything ... but he is one of TEN players likely to be unavailable to manager Ian Hendon for selection for Tuesday's FA Cup second round replay against Accrington Stanley at Underhill. Northern Ireland international Mark Hughes, arguably the Bees' best player this season, misses the replay with a one-match ban after being sent off in added time at Bury for the second of two bookable offences. Five defenders, who each missed the Bury game, are unavailable through injury ... Gary Breen, Clovis Kamdjo, Joe Devera, Ryan O'Neill and on-loan Calum Butcher. This leaves Hendon with four fit defenders for the Cup game, Ahmed Deen, ever-present Ismail Yakubu, Daniel Leach and Kenny Gillet. Dean Sinclair was unable to train last week because of a bout of 'flu and his fitness will be assessed today. On-loan striker Craig McAllister cannot play for the Bees in the Cup -- and Elliott Charles played for Ebbsfleet in a previous round. Joe Tabiri is on loan. |

Good news for us.

Re: Barnet away next week???
I remember bloody Horwich and their 9 fit men squad a few years back - I'd rather they were at full strength thank you very much!

Do not let Coley see that, or he will think it is won already  :)

Re: Barnet away next week???
Don’t know if anyone’s seen this. The game is apparently being streamed live - http://www.soccerrag.com/live-commentary/barnet-vs-accrington-stanley-live-streaming-english-fa-cup-8122009
Personally, I never have much luck with these sites (Iraq goals etc). I don’t think we have enough bandwidth in Ramsbottom. But it might work for some of you. |

Re: Barnet away next week???
As a Barnet fan, I'm not at all confident for tonight.
I know it's easy to blame injuries (I don't even mean to blame them, just complaing about it really!), but we have available 2 LB's, 1 first choice CB, and one 5th choice CB who scares the life out of me everytime by rushing out or trying to head it (big bloke, can't head, used to play football for his University in America, totally different style of defending I am told). However, saying that, hopefully 18 year old Callum Butcher will be available, on loan from Spurs, just coming back from injury. He was decent in the one game I've seen him in. Albert Adomah is also out, you probably know all about him, but that said he hasn't been up to form since rejecting our record offer of a new contract. This means we'll probably start with out other two wingers, Bolasie is good (Didn't play Vs Bury on Saturday, I don't know why because he's the better of two. Jarrett can be good, but his crosses are very hit and miss. He hit two corners straight out on Saturday! The right choices anyway based on Adomah's form of late. Arguably best player of the season Mark Hughes is suspended, he'll be a big loss, tough tackling midfielder. But Micah Hyde and Nicky Deverdics should do a decent job in the middle, but with our defensive situation it would have been nice to have someone who can defend in front of them. I'm not sure of the situation with new loanee Dean Sinclair, a former Barnet central midfield favourite. He's been injured at Charlton before coming back to us the other week, so wasn't match fit, then as soon as he was he got the flu. If he's fit, he'll probably replace one of Micah Hyde or Nicky Deverdics, at least until he shows signs of lack of match fitness. I hope so anyway! New loanee Mcallister is cuptied up front. He'd formed a good partnership with John O'Flynn in the two games they played together. A loss, but it should see the return of Furlong, been showing his age at last lately but has had a few games rest. Sorry for the long post, in summary our defence will leak a few goals, which means we'll have to score, and we've not been creating/converting enough chances recently...so I highly doubt we'll get anything. And trust me, I'm normally quite optimistic! But then anything can happen in the cup. Hope for a good game, even though I can't be there due to being based up North. Cheers for the stream by the way, hope it works! |
