Well done to all that voted for Michael and congratulations to Michael himself. Now please sign the contract and stay at a club that loves you. Easily fills the boots of an ex Stanley striker and has the same work ethics.

well done sir.

I have also voted for John Mullin for January (how can they have this up already?) in the hope that it attracts some early bids for him!!!

Simply Brilliant.... You won't be loved anywhere in the country more than you are here at Acc....

Forget fancy cars, state of the art stadia, bling bling. That will all come in time.

The grass is rarely greener & all that. Cement a move to a really big club with a great season, cash in the bank for Accy & peace of mind you did the right thing in this ££££££ driven game of ours

On Stanley ON!

Re: PFA Fans' Award

PFA Fans' League Two Player of the Month
Tuesday 5th Jan 2010

Simply brilliant, the wonderful Michael Symes!!

Stanley striker Michael Symes has been named the PFA Fans' League Two Player of the Month.

Michael has been instrumental in our great first half of the season, scoring 13 times in a period that has took us into the top half of the table, seen us reach the area semi final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and still with a place in the FA Cup.

The 26 year old joined Stanley permanently in the summer after having a loan spell with us last season from Shrewsbury. A former Everton trainee he scored 31 goals in 51 appearances for the Toffees at youth and reserves level, and was a part of the side that reached the FA Youth Cup Final.

Michael will be presented with his award at a future home match.

Like how The Club have used The Fans' song in the first line :D Excellent!

Well deserved for his undoubted ability. Now, what about his loyalty and gratitude to the club that gave him a chance?

Re: PFA Fans' Award

Lets be honest even IF he signed a contract for the 2010/2011 season for us, and if Derby wanted him that much that would buy him regardless in my opinion.

If not now then in the summer.

Fingers crossed it wont happen as have people said Coleman gave him his chance.

Yep agree smusgie, but if new contract was signed surely his value increases? were all aware stanley must sell if the "Right" money is offered.

smudgie 06-01-2010 09:55

Re: PFA Fans' Award

Well yes it does.

Obvious in the clubs best interest to sign him up for next season as immediately the transfer fee would involve paying up 18 and not 6 months of his contract here.

That is the point Smudgie, we must sign him up - BG as well - so that when/if they go we get the best deal for them! That is why Coley did - in my opinion - some great work, in signing Phil, Chris and Jimmy for 2 years. :)

Re: PFA Fans' Award

I agree Valarian, but all they can do is offer him a contract.
