Lancashire League

A totally meaningless exercise, but with half the Lancashire derbies for this season played ....

..................P..Home....Away....F..A..Pts
.....................W..D..L..W..D..L
Stanley....... 3..0..0..0...3..0..0..6..2...9 :)
Rochdale..... 3..1..0..1...0..1..0..7..5...4 :o
Morecambe.. 3..1..1..1...0..0..0..7..5...4 :o
Bury........... 3..0..0..2...0..0..1..0..8...0 :(

If this was a Champions League group, just 2 points from the return fixtures would guarantee us a place in the knockout rounds.

Let's hope our form and Bury's hold on through tomorrow (Sorry Carl :))

Happy New Year everyone ...

Re: Lancashire League

Continuing this pointless exercise of creating a table from Lancashire derbies, but with only our game at home to Dale to come ....

..................P..Home....Away....F..A..Pts
.....................W..D..L..W..D..L
Stanley....... 5..1..0..1...3..0..0..11...8...12 :)
Rochdale..... 5..2..0..1...0..1..1..11...7....7
Bury........... 6..1..1..1...1..0..2...5..10....7
Morecambe.. 6..1..1..1...0..1..2..10..12...5

Champions of Lancashire !!

Two of those teams are NOT in Lancashire. But still kings of the North West of England!

As far as I'm concerned Merseyside and Greater Manchester don't even exist, Manchester and Liverpool will always be part of the Lancashire dynasty for me.

And always will be; and so is Barrow! And if you follow up Loweiy's link, one of the 'seven wonders of Lancashire' is Coniston Old Man! :)
