Re: Torquay away - weekend stay

At this point, this will be the only travel going to torquay unless a second coach can be filled just for saturday travel.

Re: Torquay away - weekend stay

Isn't that hotel Fawlty Towers? I'm sure it was filmed in Torquay.

AsFc62 11-01-2010 15:13

Re: Torquay away - weekend stay

Your right it was filmed in Torquay but not at this hotel.

I believe the hotel it was filmed at was called the Gleneagles Hotel!

Re: Torquay away - weekend stay

I'll more than likely need one place, working on another 2 or 3.

Do you need full payment or will you take deposits?

Ash,

Just been on the Official ASFC website.
I think it's worth dropping them an e-mail and getting them to change this under Away Travel:

For further information and to book your place now call John Timmins on 07966 695109.

Re: Torquay away - weekend stay

Thanks Stephen I will inform them.

FAO TORQUAY TRIPPERS
I've decided that I will be accepting deposits of £30 for the Torquay trip.
Please note this will be a non-returnable deposit unless you can fill your space if you pull out.

Thanks Ash

Re: Torquay away - weekend stay

Is there just the 1 Coach going for the weekend ???

Is it full yet , or is there a coach going for the day trip???

Willie Miller 20-01-2010 18:42

Re: Torquay away - weekend stay

First coach full, not sure of the rest.

If there is demand for a day coach I am sure it will run

AsFc62 20-01-2010 19:43

Re: Torquay away - weekend stay

Howdy Guys

I'm sure you've all heard that the coach for the weekend trip to Torquay is booked up, sorry for those that missed out.

However, after some interest, not much but enough to make me consider running an additional coach for the trip.

Heres how it stands;
To run an extra for the weekend, I need to find a hotel which will accomodate a flock load of football fans plus I need enough bums on seats:)
Plus I need to confirm all places on the first coach are definite and at least deposits are paid for because spaces might come available in the next few weeks.

Interested:
1)Joe Dunn (Reserve for 1st Coach)
2)Iain Bayliss (Reserve for 1st coach)
3)J Butterworth
4)J Butterworth
5)J Butterworth ? (2 maybe 3)

2) Which is the more likely option, I run an extra coach which is for day travel only -again I need to be able to fill this coach for it to be cost effective.
Likely to be £30

Interested People for day travel:
1) Grimps
2) Grimps
3) Red Ash
4) J Butterworth
5) J Butterworth
6) J Butterworth (possible, definitely 2)

I will update these for you, so you know numbers, people that appear on both list are interested in any of the additional arrangements due to the fact that they have missed out on the first coach and simply want to sample the delights of Torquay.

Thanks Ash

Re: Torquay away - weekend stay

i know somebody driving down for the weekend who has space for two if anyone fancies it and hasn't got on the coach. You'll be stopping at a different hotel to everyone else but its only up the road and no doubt we'll all be meeting up anyway. PM me with your name and mobile number and I'll pass it on. Will go quick I think

Re: Torquay away - weekend stay

Due to no space on the weekend coach, I have booked for the Waters Edge hotel on Booking.com: 73000+ hotels worldwide. Book your hotel now! (approx one and half miles from the ground). I will be driving down on Friday and staying till Sunday and have 2 spare seats. PM me if your interested (share petrol costs).

PS I am willing to drive up to Accrington prior to leaving for Torquay

FAO TORQUAY TRIPPERS:
Any outstanding monies owed for this trip would be gladly accepted this saturday because this will limit the amount of money I have to carry on the day/for the weekend.

Thanks Ash

Sorry AccyMad but we are not, saw the news last night on a Facebook link with UKCowboys missus, Sarah. Could not believe what I was hearing or seeing. It quickly got round the troops here in Torquay, but we still painted the town red, except for some over excessive stewarding in one pub who threatened to have us arrested for disturbing the peace, hell we only sang a couple of tanley songs. Needless to say, we dissed that establishment and went to a karaoke bar, and improvised. :egged::theband:
