I tried everywhere for one of those live stream sites but couldn't find anything. Thanks to Fulham for their website as it gave a minute by minute coverage. I moved down to the local for the second half but as they only have Sky I couldn't watch the match, only the commentary.

Sorry you lost, lads xx

Excellent atmosphere today, a real FA cup occasion, 1st half Stanley's, 2nd half all Fulham. The sending off did spoil the 2nd half from being a contest. I can only remember 1 long shot/freekick for Schwarzer to deal with late in the 2nd half. Murphy and Duff's class was clear to see . I think Bouzanis will be disappointed he let in 2 of the 3, and he looks like he's pulled his groin.

I have to praise the outstanding effort from the Clayton End supporters, the huge flags to start, constant singing through and after the match :theband:! I have set the recoder for FA Cup Highlights on ITV tonight, so hopefully re-live some of today's match. A real advert for the FA Cup, Football, Fulham and Stanley all winners today :).

Up the Stanley

I've just arrived back in Surrey after the long drive back. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and you should all be rightly proud. Friendly but passionate fans and a team that played their heart out.

It was very harsh on your No5 - most of us thought that he should simply have had a final warning. You were excellent up until that point.

Well, you're undefeated at The Crown against Premiership opposition when it's been 11 against 11.:(

I'm proud as punch of our lads tonight - bloody well done, but for the ref being one-armed towards the premiership prima donnas who knows what could've happened! They certainly know they've been to Lancashire and been given one hell of a game !

just watched highlights on ITV, Robbie Earle commented after that Kempos first booking was harsh in his opinion, so aint just my bias.

You guys should be very proud (oh! I see that you are) of your performance today, you passed the ball around well but after the sending off you didnt have the freedom up front - and I can understand you feeling like you were mugged. I would have liked to see you visit Craven Cottage in a return leg but it won't be this season.

Good luck for the rest of your season, and I hope the turnout gives you the financial boost sufficient to save your historical club...

Thanks for that post, nice to have opposing fans commenting like that! :)

Fulham fans in pub seemed to like Bobby, hope we can keep him. Overall our performance was fantastic IMHO. Sly digs from Hodgson and co. regarding pitch, however this was to be expected.

Not the point what was Hodgeson expecting for a league 2 club? Sorry he couldn't slum it, found it insulting. The ground didn't look overly bad seen that pitch in worse conditions before now.

Every Stanley player should be proud of themselves today, especially Bobby Grant (the second best left-back in the world). Well done reds, we didn't deserve to lose that and Fulham know it. If we can replicate that energy in the league we'll be unplayable. My man of the match would've been Jimmy Ryan but to be honest anyone could've won it and deserved it fully. What a game.

Have to agree with ya shaker about mom deffo jimmy ryan, he is a feisty terrier as Earle agreed, he wasn't afraid to get stuck in at all, always at the ankles of the opposition.

The best bit of the match was when Chris Baird burst into the box only for the ball to bounce up and out over a divet, quality FA cup drama and he knew it too!

It was a marvellous day. Even Mrs.Red, a confirmed football non-believer, enjoyed the spectacle from our position amid the rocking Clayton End. She wasn't complaining, either, when she was hugged by a young Stanley fan in the mayhem after Symes's goal, and then grabbed someone's arm to avoid being trampled underfoot, thinking it was me (or so she says), although I had been bounced 6 feet away by then.
All the media rubbish about Premiership quality showing through only showed itself in the last 20 mins when our 10 men were out out on their feet. Don't forget we had a hell of a game on Tuesday and they only had a stroll about Ewood Park the Sunday before.
Cheers Willie for the fantastic display before the start, plus the usual 90 minute choir.

A couple of good write ups:

Fulham sink Accrington Stanley | Football - Times Online

Fulham rely on sending-off to get past battling Stanley - FA & League Cups, Football - The Independent

I do like the headline on the second one :)

I know tv highlights are edited but Hodgson & Duff's comments that they can't play on a poor pitch were rather ungracious - Stanley have to regularly and yesterday played a sight better than their side for sure until the ref spoiled the contest. Smacks of overpaid prawnsarnie leaguers turning their noses up at anything less than cavier with their chips ! And as for that nonsense of arriving already changed - well, it's a wonder their physio isn't on for muddy knees.

Ignore em, thats just trying to cover up n inept display, must be embarrassing when yer outplayed by (in there eyes) a team of nothings.;) n Duff would still be digging spuds if rovers hadn't give him a chance when young.

Re: vs Fulham match thread.

:):):)Stanley played superbly for much of the match and we should all be very proud of the team and the managemant. Also Schultzy and the ground staff, marshalls and backroom people did a fantastic job and helped to make it a day to remember. The Ultras again were absolutely brilliant!! So much colour and fab singing all through the match and well after.:theband::theband:

As for the match - Stanley outplayed Fulham in the first half. Schwartzer was indeed a "dodgy keeper" on several occasions. Stanley could have easily been two goals up before Fulham scored. Fulham goal looked like poor defending of the near post - a low corner like that should not get past the first stanley player between the post and the edge of the six yard box. Our goal was fully deserved, down to continued excellent pressure from our lads. :):thankya::thankya:
Symes was very cool in placing the ball through the crowded box.:mosher:

Kempo was unfortunate - watching the replays on ITV the first booking should never have been given. Kempo and the fulham lad simply bumped into each other as they came together at an angle chasing the ball. Kempo, much taller and stronger simply made the boy bounce off him and because he is much taller the little fulham players face made contant with Kempo's arm and shoulde - Kempo did NOT lift his arm in any way. Very harsh and poor refereeing.:mad::eek: The second tackle was a silly thing for Kempo to do. I think he'd been niggled a minute before and decidecd to give some back - definitey deserved a booking. Seemed harsh to be sent off for only one bad foul though. Fulham players did not seem to like our lads harrasing them and closing them down quickly. So many times their players threw their arms up appealing to the ref and he whimped and gave them free kicks for nowt! Once they scored second goal result was inevitable. Had Kempo stayed on I think we might have beaten them. Once again - so proud to be a RED:):):theband::theband:

Not bad comment from Roy Hodgson in the LET but still think his players should have been made to use our changing facilities instead of being allowed to act like pampered prima donnas - surely that's all part of the experience and a great leveller. We've had friendlies with bigger clubs and can't remember any of them acting like that

K.S.H 25-01-2010 15:41

Re: vs Fulham match thread.

I've been told that they didn't refuse to use our facilities, They flew up to Blackpool on Fri night, Roy Hodgson come to the ground about 7pm to have a look at the pitch, he mentioned then that after the game they would be pushed for time so they decided it was best to get back to the Dunkenhalgh, shower, get their belongings and then there were straight off to Blackpool for the plane

AccyMad 25-01-2010 16:32

Re: vs Fulham match thread.

That might explain why they didn't get showered & changed after the game but they had no excuse for arriving ready in their kits - they were only coming up the road from the Dunk :)

What a really good day! Every player should be proud of what they did on the pitch, getting to the 4th round of the FA against a prem side that did put out a good squad, it's just now always going to be what if, what if sean had scored in first half, what if kempo didnt get sent off, but i think some of the players will now catch the eyes of more teams as on the radio they really liked bobby grant, and on 5live they where going to buy 500 programes or something along them lines if steven gerrard rung in about the game as he was there, it looked awsome to see a packed out crown ground looks really good on tv aswell, just hope some of the fans come back for more league 2 games, and the team like other people have said they have a real togetherness and bonding,
