Transfer deadline day!!
I think we all know that a few clubs have shown an interest in Symes and Grant...
Do you think they will go? if so do you think we will have time to get someone in! I hoping for a very quiet deadline day. |
Re: Transfer deadline day!!
Hope they do not. Not sure if they will - it will be up to Uncle Coley! No chance of replacing them, unless the groundwork has been done already!
Also hoping for a quiet deadline day!!! P.S. If any player needing convincing to stay, I think that you lads did a good enough job at The Meadow on Saturday, even the players were singing the new Symes song on their coach - top one Ultras!!! :) :) |
Re: Transfer deadline day!!
Hopeing for a very quiet day, ever break been checking my phone on sky sports, hopeing not to see anything to do with stanley no players in or out! Than hopeing symes signs the new deal, aswell as giveing contracts to a few other players, Mr Consistent being one of them

Re: Transfer deadline day!!
While Symes and Grant have been at Stanley they have played regular and improved tremendous.IF they went to other clubs eg Symes to Preston North End he would probably not be played as often and therefore not better his skills.Thats me thinking aloud, but am no expert.
Stay where you are lads your club needs you. |

Re: Transfer deadline day!!
So that's it, deadline passed and our team still intact..............I'm a happy bunny :)
|
Re: Transfer deadline day!!
I have it from a good source, that there have been no ins and no outs today :) :)
Apart from loan extensions of course! |
Re: Transfer deadline day!!
sign of the fans solidarity with the team & management that we are overjoyed with a status-quo result. Now then, pen to contracts please lads.
|
Re: Transfer deadline day!!
Well chuffed, feel like we've just signed 500k of strikers
|
Re: Transfer deadline day!!
great news, now lets sign them up on new deals.
One player released today who wants to move back to the north west and would be a great signing, Sky Sports | Football | Transfer Centre | Done Deal | Norwich cancel Whaley's contract I think we are short down the flanks, certianly short of genuine pace but maybe coleman would prefere to add a bit of height into the squad? |
Re: Transfer deadline day!!
According to coley's interview on 2br that he had his phone switched off today and no one is coming or going, we still under the embargo and happy to keep players we got.

Said before the window opened that I'd prefer it if no one came in or went out during the window, and now I'm very very happy! We've got a great unit; best not to break it up. Well done Coley, Jim & Ilyas.

Re: Transfer deadline day!!
The club are now obviously satisfied that nobody will be making a last minute dash to Scotland
Squad news. Monday 1st Feb 2010. Nobody leaves - Bouzanis, Lees and Kee all stay. The transfer window closed quietly at the Crown Ground this afternoon, with nobody leaving and the squad remaining in tact as we enter the second half of the season. As welcome as the fact that none of our squad had left for pastures new was the news that the club has agreed deals to keep Liverpool goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis, Leeds defender Tom Lees and Leicester striker Billy Kee all at the club until the end of the season. Further to this the club is delighted to announce that by the end of this week Accrington Stanley will have settled all outstanding payments to HMRC and repaid the PFA in full, removing the embargo that has restricted us to a squad size of twenty for much of this season. Wonder what has happened to Flynn?? :) :) :) |

Re: Transfer deadline day!!
Nice bit in amongst the squad news you posted from fishy site Val is the debts being cleared by the end of the week and the embargo being lifted.
|
Re: Transfer deadline day!!
Now updated on Official site, to include Flynn as well! As for embargo Google Page Ranking, never bothered me really, if we had loads of injuries we could have had emergency loans, a little club like us cannot afford to have 5+ players not involved every week. :)
Just to add that this current squad is FANtastic, the work ethic and togetherness will see them through any crisis. Maybe in different times, we could have struggled under the embargo!! :) :) |
Re: Transfer deadline day!!
Superb news all round.
BOOM BOOM BOOM, LET ME HEAR YOU SAY BOUZA!! |
Re: Transfer deadline day!!
FL loan window re-opens next week - might see some comings and going then
