On Stanley, On (Song)
 

In the early fifties, a Stanley director wrote a song for the crowd to sing -' On Stanley, On.' I want to acquire the words and tune, and perhaps a recording. Who was the director? this will help me learn who holds the copyright in the song, which will surely be sung at Wembley in May.

It's a help - thanks. I will contact Terry Slinger, who is mentioned in the thtread I was directed to as being connected with a recording. I don't think it is the original, but it will do. Another example of the benefits of this ssite. Much quicker than writing to the Observer.
