Crewe Alexandra's League Two match against Chesterfield has been put back 24 hours because of the snow and freezing temperatures.

Both sides agreed to the switch on Monday and the match will now be played on Wednesday, 24 February at 1945 GMT.

Not convinced heaters would do any good today. The air temparature is very cold, it needed some sun really. You never know, stranger things have happened :)

Is it me. or am I not the only one to be infuriated by the tone of this article in today's Daily Mail? Sorry, couldn't find it in their online editiion, but will quote it in full:

Hard-up Accrington are pleading with fans to loan them patio heaters to help thaw out the pitch. The club are concerned that the current big freeze will force them to call off tonight's clash against Burton.

How does that make us sound? :mad:

Even if they manage to thaw out the pitch, that band of snow forecast looks like it will be here in the next hour or so, looking on Will it Rain Today? | Rain radar for the UK | Going to rain? | Meteogroup their forecasts are always spot on.
