to me it shows a club and community that did it's hardest to get a game on by all means how,The daily mail is an outdated, stuck up southern rag anyway

As I said, it was the tone of the thing that annoyed me. What a difference could be made by changing just a couple of words:

From Hard-up Accrington are pleading with fans to loan them patio heaters to help thaw out the pitch. The club are concerned that the current big freeze will force them to call off tonight's clash against Burton.

to-Enterprising Accrington Stanley are encouraging fans to loan them patio heaters to help thaw out the pitch. The club are determined that the current big freeze should not force them to call off tonight's clash against Burton

Reads better now, dunnit?

But can we learn from this?

can we line up the tarp firm in ossy to measure up for proper sheet and a hire firm for the hot air blowers then link them in with some 5 year sponsorship deal?
