I think the play off challenge is over in all honesty.
The number of games we have played, the managers unwillingness to rotate, and the fixture congestion we will soon be hitting - has resulted in the team lacking that sharpness needed to win games and see games off.
You can see it in evertons play right now on espn - they look knackered and have had good chances but with the ammount of games they have played with a small squad, they lack the killer instinct to get the goals.

Can't agree with you Dav, sorry, are the players who can come on fit enough or are they just bums on seats? To be fair, we should have played 10 men from midway through the second half, the guy who fouled our lad should have walked, but once again a referee bottled it, big time. To be fair to Torquay, the team made them look good, in fact any neutral would have thought Stanley were the team at the bottom of the league not Torquay.

As others have said though, lets keep faith in Coley and Jimmy, they know what the problems are, and I am sure they know how to fix it. Lets hope that the embargo is lifted early this week and we can get reinforcements in.

I really hope you are right, but on the question of Coley not rotating "the best squad I've ever had" to good effect recently I have a niggling suspicion that any reinforcements would be under-used too.

What is the point of more players, when we have a good enough un-used squad at the moment???

Yes we have unused players sitting on the bench, but Coley must think we require another defender to rotate the back four and give them a rest. Enough folks thought Darren Kempson had a poor game and should be given a rest at Torquay, who do we bring on in his place, John Mullin? Last Saturday, we were operating with 11 men on the pitch, 2 away in Ireland, 2 on the treatment table which left only 5 subs when we are allowed 7. And one of them was a goalkeeper, not a defender, midfielder or attacker. That is why we need another player or two. And TBH if Chris Turner keeps getting flattened the way he was at Torquay, we will have another casualty. The tackle was akin to the Shawcross/Ramsey tackle except that Turner was lucky to walk away and I believe the tackle was premeditated whereas the one at Stoke did not appear to be.

[quote=Pendle Red;792648]I will make a prediction now that I think Arsenal will win the Premier League:eek:quote]

Sorry Google Page Ranking, but I have looked at the Unibond Premier League table and cant find any trace of such a team. My moneys on Bradford Park Avenue at the moment, although Guisley are in with a shout if they win all their games in hand! :)

But, you must also look at other games in recent weeks OO, when we have had Flynn and Kee. Flynn does not get a look in really, only plays when others are suspended and as for Billy Kee, well I cannot believe that he is still with us to be honest!! :)

Upshot is we will have to agree to disagree matey and I also believe that 5 subs is plenty for a Football Genius, who don't use em!!! ;) :D :)

I think one of the main problems with the team is they seem to be too interested in the league table and what other teams are doing. I have seen quotes from Symsey and Coley both to that effect.

They should be 100% concentrating on what they're doing and take each game as it comes, 1 at a time.
