OSC Player/young player/supporter of the year
 

Annual OSc presentation nite coming up pencilled for now on the 1st of May.

We need suggestions for the following awards to be shortlisted later for voting:

*Player of the Year
*Young player of the Year
*Supporter of the Year

There i hope will be the accyweb vote poll on another thread once the categories have been filled with candidates [if accymad wishes to host that:D again for us if not no worries]

Hoping for lots of suggestions :mosher: also any volunteers to help with voting slips would be appreciated, yep im early with this so got time to sort things out :D

Thanks SM! Nowt like being put on the spot :) Put me down for helping with the voting slips again and yes if folk want a vote from the forum I'll arrange it a bit nearer the time.

OK - my suggestions for shortlist would be

Player of the Year : Phil Edwards/Michael Symes/Proccy/Luke Joyce
Young Player : Chris Turner/Bobby Grant/Dean Winnard/Jimmy Ryan
Supporter of the Year : I'd go with everyone else ... Ilyas/Peter Marsden

Supporter of Year- every single stanley fan for bucket collecting, buying shares, etc after the year we had

Player of the Year - Andy Procter taken on the role as captain and under him the team have come on leaps and bounds.
Young Player of the Year - Bobby Grant.
Supporter of the Year - I'm sure this category need not exsist! Peter Marsden and Ilyas Khan can share it. Khan can have it for the first 6 months seen as, as far as I am aware, he is the one who comes on here.

I'm with you, Oz, but given the average age of the team it's a pity there can't be eleven Young Player awards.

Supporters of the Year-I am with MCR on this one everyone who rallied round and helped the Club in their hour of need

Player of the year:- Symes, leads the line well, great partnership with Bobby, proved a lot of doubters - inc me - wrong!

Young Player of the year:- Bobby Grant, as above, but also matured well and a great prospect for football.

Supporter of the year:- As so many have said, we all deserve this, but as it says supporter, then I would say, Robert (Bob) Houseman.
Knowing Rob personally, I know just what he has done and put into the last 12 months and though I know that many have put plenty in, I think that Rob has stood out for me :) :) :)
