Stanley - Personalised Number Plate
 

I have checked to see if this is anywhere else on the forum and I am pretty sure it isn't, but my appologies if I am repeating a previous thread, anyhoo here goes.

I have been asked if I can announce that ex director Keith Morton is selling a car number plate AC06 STAN and will donate the proceeds to the club. Anyone who would like to bid for the number plate should contact the club.

Can that registration be right? Thought it had to be 2 letters 2 numbers then 3 letters.

footy nut you're right surely that plate can't be registered at the dvla

AC06STAN is not a valid registration number.

It is more than likely AC 05 TAN !!!!!!!

The cost of AC05 TAN from the DVLA would be £250 including transfer.
If it read AC0 5TAN it would also be illegal but there are plenty about which are worse to decipher.
I tried to bid on the DVLA auction for my name on a plate which would have been
RU55ELL but was outbid by a long way, it went for £64,000 and I bid £3000. Glad I lost cos I would have been single again if my wife had know I spent that much.

Technically not allowed to bump up but will let ya off this once :D Would be a good idea to have it on the club website or in observer make a peice of it - may drum up interest, just a thought:D

Cheers SM :), I believe that the club have been asked to 'promote' this but they are a bit busy. It's a shame because Keith is giving the proceeds to the club :mosher:

I did once look (when I had a bit of cash) for Stanley number plate after Rob Heys got one and the best I saw was £1600

must make this worth a bob or two

i'd love to bid fer it and in better times would have paid up to a grand I reckon, but at the moment i can offer around £20

On a similar note I did buy A5FC Y from newreg.com, a few years back & was very busy at the time & just forgot to transfer it onto a brum car, anyone up to speed on whether its still mine? I thought it ran out after 12 months eek!

I have AC51 TAN on my car. Bought it last year and it only cost me £250 from DVLA.
