sorry folks, its just that i believe you have signed a young keeper that was playing for Tranmere Rovers a couple of years ago and then moved to chester as their youth keeper and has now signed for you guys, so just wishing him all the best of luck, you have got a cracker there,,,

ho folks, i believe Josh has joined your club, he is a goalkeeper, his dad txt me to say he had signed, and as you say probably for the youth team as he is only 17, sorry for the confusion, :)

hey you couldnt go wrong mate, cracker keeper, all heart and skill, watched him for a couple of years at Tranmere great potential,,,and if all else fails you could always give my lad a call,,,he has been invited up a couple of times now,,,lol:)

he was trained by the Tranmere legend John Achterburg, as was my lad, before John moved on to Liverpool as their goalkeeper coach,,,but the training is deep rooted,,,,

Come on guys get real there is 100's of kids out there like this lad. we have a whole lot of them at the moment playing for the Cof E teams how
many will make it.

he has come from Chester city, played for Tranmere b4 that at under 16, went to Chester straight into the youth side and has been playing there for the last year, no big deal, he is a good keeper tho, and i only wanted to say good luck to him,,,lol

oh and long term red, there maybe hundreds of kids out there ,,,but i can guarantee there are not hundreds of keepers,,,,a good keeper is like finding a gold nugget, a great keeper is like finding a diamond,as hard and as shining, giving strength, confidence and authority to the back 4 its amazing just what he adds. the last line of defense and the first line of attack.

i agree totally i go to watch my 15 yr old son week in week out and if im honest i cant actually say that i ve seen a great keeper at that level. Thats the thing with kids football they all wanna be match winners and score goals. My lad plays right bk and loves it but if ya ask him where he would like to play given the choice the answer is always the same

Neil. Having been employed in the game for 40+ years I do understand the benefit of having a good reliable keeper. The problem was that your post got certain people on here expecting a finished article, whereas in reality there are 100's of keepers out there of a similar standing to this boy.
C of E, Academies release kids like this every year, some go on to proce them wrong while others go from club to club before they eventually find a level that suits them. Really hope the boy does well, but dont heap pressure on him it is hard enough.

oh god forbid i would heap pressure on Josh or my son, please the only reason i came on here, was 1 to wish Josh all the best and to see what the web site was like, looking at the posts, real good bunch of people and i wish the club good fortune,,,will be popping back,,,lol:)
