Rochdale 'report'

RochdaleAFC.com - Report: Accy 2 Dale 4 - Rochdale

always a good report on this website, fair reflection I think

Bit excitable, him. He'll be going blind if he isn't careful.

Dale were more than lucky. We switched off and sat back after scoring two masterful goals. They caught us with our pants down and scored from a non-league hoof into our box, the second was an own goal, the third our full-back went to make a brew, the fourth a fluke that should've been pulled back for handball anyway.

We have the moral victory, really.

;):)

I agree, a very good report, especially for acknowledging our progress.

Fantastic match report

Re: Rochdale 'report'

Sterling effort from Stanley on Saturday but strength/fitness + heavy pitches + crowded fixture list, not to mention inspired opposition, seemed to play its part. Losing a two goal lead is not the most uplifting experience but Stanley looked dog-tired even before they scored the second. But it was cracking match, and the team deserved more from it.
The most worrying sight was not on the pitch but behind the hospitality glass. The cardboard millionaire still haunts the club.

Very, very disturbing. It's about time the club levelled with us over just what's going on.

This is merely my opinion but, compared with what's really going on behind the scenes, I worry that Stanley's pitch is the most level thing at the ground.
Has anyone yet been able to prove, categorically who is the majority shareholder?

this matter should be sorted "Head On" by someone who can, or do the fans NOT MATTER?

Eric is at ASFC purely as a fan, & as I said before he has made history with Stanley & ultimately his time at the club was successful. He made mistakes namely not asking for help sooner. It is Illyas Khans time as our leader now. Eric is no criminal & deserves to be allowed to meet his many friends at the Club (A I would include myslef & many others in that)

Lets support Illyas, Coley, Jimmy, the players & the current regime.

Bitterness will only hinder progress

IMHO :)

Well willie if a friend of mine,no matter what good they did, were nearly responsible fer the demise of the club, he damn well wouldn't be! dont know how he has the brass neck to show his puss.:(

Hope your loyalty is not misplaced, William.
But it still seems a little worrying that, after all that's gone on these last nine months and depending who you talk to, there is still doubt as to who really owns what.

Re: Rochdale 'report'

Honestly, I am not wasting any more time on the 2009 "business" debacle of our football club....

Some will want heads to roll (that is Illyas & Peters business), some will class Rob Heys, Eric Whalley, Bill Holden, Geoff Heap, Mark Turner etc as friends first & foremost. You need to stick by your friends through rain & shine (I am in that camp)

All my energy since we were saved is being used to support.... I have no spare energy for witch hunts.....

So do I, but nothing will ever reconcile me to the sight of Eric Whalley back at our club. If you say he's there as a fan, then OK, as I also trust you, that's good enough for me, but I sure as hell don't like it!

Re: Rochdale 'report'

The whole SOS thing during then end of last year and all the lies told during that period by people still connected with the club, killed my relationship with Accrington Stanley.

The fact that Whalley and others are still there and there're are still lies being told, means that any hope of reconciliation is a distant hope. Shame really after all these years, but I can't pretend anymore.

Thats ****ing sickening that we lose even one fan, especially one as long serving & comitted as you......

And I fully understand anyones reasons & everyone's opinion is worthy. A bleak time, truly dark days.

Hope you change your mind fella, in the future

You've said EW's here as a fan, Willie, and I guess most of us grudgingly accept that...but, believe me, if he ever returns in any sort of official position there'll be a hell of a lot more following in TM's footsteps!

At the last shareholders meeting, it was said that there would be a more full and formal meeting towards the end of March, but Ilyas has posted something on here a few weeks ago about books and accountants. He did also state that when the club were in a position to, then there would be a meeting :) :)

What really annoys me is that Ilyas once said that he was never made to feel remotely welcome in the clubhouse by the previous regime, even after contributing hundreds of thousands of pounds to the club, and yet we apparently have the present shameful situation.

Cheers Jase. I'm going on the match tonight and probably a few more this season, but it's not the same as it was and the interest has largely gone. I've even cancelled my Sky Sports subscription, as I don't want to watch any football at the moment.
Anyway, enough of that. I don't want to be one of those who keep announcing they're going for months, but never do! ;) :D
