BE PART OF A WORLD CUP SONG AT ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS!
http://www.accringtonstanley.co.uk/g...ath%20logo.jpgWe are looking for a fan from every league club to come and sing their hearts out at the famous Abbey Road Studios on 31st March 2010 for the 'We're England Underneath' World Cup Charity Song in aid of Kick4Life.

You don't need to be pitch perfect, just come in your Accrington Stanley Home Shirt and sing your heart out!! You will be joined on the day by ex-England legends such as Peter Shilton.

(Please note this is a no fee gig and the person chosen will be responsible for all their own expenses in getting to and from Abbey Road. Applicants must be 18 or over.)

England Underneath.

Accrington Stanley are part of the World Cup Charity Single.



World Cup charity single called ‘We’re England Underneath’ was recorded at
Abbey Road Studios on Wednesday 31st March.
Every English club in the Premiership, Championship and Leagues 1 and 2 was represented in the recording; 90 people, 90 club shirts standing side by side as one team, all singing in unison. The aim is to raise lots of money for Kick4Life, a charity which uses the unique power of football and sport to transform the lives of some of the world’s most disadvantaged young people, and whose work has already been given support by Prince Harry, Fabio Capello and David Beckham to name but a few.

The day was a huge success, with classical‐crossover tenor Thomas Spencer‐Wortley leading the singing, and the legendary Peter Shilton doing his bit, too. The track is now ready and raring to go, and so we need to ask for your help. Each club was represented on the day, and so we hope that you will be supportive of your fan, in the same way your fan supported us.

The recording session generated huge interest from the media, with coverage from BBC News and Sky Sports News, and the song has now been sent to national and regional radio stations.

The release date is Saturday 24th April, and we want to sell the single initially through the clubs, to drive fans to their club shops. From Monday 3rd May the single will be available to download.

Accrington Stanley would like to thank Sinead Griffiths for representing the club at the fantastic cause and look forward to hearing the single when it's released!

The press left me a voicemail asking if I was bothered if it was a "non" fan....

I couldn't be arsed to ring him back thats how much of an "issue" it was to me :)
