Ban on flares
I was a bit worried I might not get in today, fortunately "Boot cut" aren't classed as flares.

Re: Ban on flares
ya would have no bother getting in wi yer stick n me mate.:D;) though the highlight was the spud pie.

Re: Ban on flares
Watch out for sparklers too, they are very dangerous. Hospitals on Nov 5th are full of 4 year old burns victims
|
Re: Ban on flares
LOL, but think about it for a second, sparklers and flags dont really mix..............I for one wouldnt wanna be stood under or near one if sparklers were around! (I aint got much hair as it is lol)
|
Re: Ban on flares
aha but the flags have been fire certificated!!!

Well "if" that's the case Mick S and LCC haven't seen the certificates!! Gents lets abide by ground regs and have a good time:) Can't rememeber the club but Swindon rings a bell, but distress flares in the ground is the issue. For this somebody will be prosecuted AND receive a lifetime ban from ALL football grounds at senior level:eek: |

Re: Ban on flares
Embarrasing for Swindon to have more grasses in the stand than on the pitch.

Re: Ban on flares
Actually, just read it, it was a wooden stand!!!!!
|
Re: Ban on flares
aint a matter of who grasses, its a matter of who suffers by the breaking of these regs? good or bad there in force simple as, only the club, plus any poor sod wi asthma or a bad chest suffers if used.

Re: Ban on flares
I don't know who organised sparklers or that little bit of smoke....
But nobody mentioned it on here until a steward thrust a little piece of paper into fans hands on Monday. |

a handful of sparklers - available to anyone and you let your four year old use 'em a couple of smoke bombs - available to anyone in order to find a leak in your plumbing. I personally like to see them, but rules are rules unfortunately and we have to abide by them :( |
Re: Ban on flares
I will be in the Anny Road tomorrow night with a small cordon from the Benfica fans, will be interesting to see how that one develops after the first leg in Portugal.
I would imagine it will be zero tolerance as bags etc. are searched before going in and there is usually a blanket ban on Alcohol in the ground on European Nights. |
Re: Ban on flares
what about york, their fans dont get banned

Re: Ban on flares
Benifica Fans were frisked, bags were checked and no alcohol was on sale in the ground

Re: Ban on flares
