|
Re: Crewe Match Thread
We're right at the top of a huge imposing stand and have just seen a cavalcade of brightly coloured Stanley fans trooping down the main road from the pub. When we dropped Ben's dad off earlier we spotted a Wolverine and a Fred Flinstone outside having a fag...

15 played no real chance as such since the goal for either side. The Reds are playing some good stuff on the edge of the box but yet to test Adam Legzdins. One time Stanley target Clayton Donaldson just headed over from 8 yards out.

Re: Crewe Match Thread
First Stanley shot. John Miles with in 20 yards out, on the right, left footed straight at the keeper.

Re: Crewe Match Thread
Another great start :(

Re: Crewe Match Thread
We aren't watching the game any more around 1000 people in this stand can't help but watched the stanley fans konga around the away end in full voice... "I am a stanley fan..."
Still 1 - 0 to Crewe |
Re: Crewe Match Thread
25min Grant corner from left cleared to Lees who played it back to Grant who shot from 30 yards. Easy save for Legzdins
|
Re: Crewe Match Thread
Calvin Zola on the right wing found Danny Shelly who got past Darran Kempson in the area his shot beat Bavs and was goal bound Phil Edwards was the man on the line to keep the deficit to one

Re: Crewe Match Thread
Sorry read it wrong,
|
Re: Crewe Match Thread
For gods sake Bavs.
How many times do we have to put up with that clown |
Re: Crewe Match Thread
Long delay as Bouza has forgot his gloves and had to go to the dressing room to get them...
|
Re: Crewe Match Thread
Westwood.... Bouzanis saves but it falls straight back into the path of Westwood who taps home 3-1
|
Re: Crewe Match Thread
gutted, another loss me thinks :(
|
Re: Crewe Match Thread
70 on the watch now it could so easily be 4-1 Joel Grant just smashed a shot against the bar from 25 yards he followed it into the area and should of done much better than a weak effort straight at the Stanley keeper
Crewe 3 Stanley 1 |
Re: Crewe Match Thread
Well, my idea of getting up for the last 20 and 'witnessing' something great ain't happening this time..C'MON STANLEY
|
Re: Crewe Match Thread
Donaldson who looks like a poor mans Adebayor turned neatly in the area but his left footed curling effort was wide.
Stanley could be four or five down :( |
Re: Crewe Match Thread
make that 4-1.
**** |
Re: Crewe Match Thread
It really has become a bit of a train wreck playing wise... :(
|
Re: Crewe Match Thread

Re: Crewe Match Thread
GOAL!!!
Stanley have conceded a fourth huge mistake by Dean Winnard who loses the ball trying to turn out of defense as the last man. Donaldson gets in to the area to sent up Joel Grant who slides a shot through the legs of Edwards past Bouza into the bottom corner Crewe 4 Stanley 1 |
Re: Crewe Match Thread
...at least I can go back to bed, and I will . Goodnight.. :(
|
Re: Crewe Match Thread
Turner cross form right Symes free header 6 yards out puts it wide. He was leaning back in the air to get to it but should of been on target. 3mins plus stoppages to go.
|
Re: Crewe Match Thread
Seems they are keen to get us back for their 5-3 thrashing earlier in the season.

Re: Crewe Match Thread
Wel.... Get ready for this Accy Web...
I have just seen a fight break out on the pitch between 5 stewards and Jimmy Bell!!! Punches where thrown and Jimmy Bell was wrestled and man handled to the ground.... There was then because of this a pitch invasion as the Stanley fans rushed on to the pitch to help Jimmy Bell who in my eyes was being assaulted by Crewe Football Club officals!! the pre match interview is going to be interesting thats for sure. |

After going down to the end of the tunnel it seems 5 stewards have taken a dislike to Jimmy going over to clap the fans. They then jumped on him, threw punches and wrestled him to the ground mid way inside what was the Crewe half. The fans then ran on to the pitch, not to invade but to give their assistance to Jimmy who was at this point being assaulted. Jimmy was then not aloud to leave the tunnel for fifteen mins to clap the fans who remained inside the ground chanting his name. Once Jimmy was aloud to cross the pitch back to the fans they applauded each other and both fans and Jimmy left. An incident created from nothing and solely to blame are the officials of Crewe Football Club who got a little excited by the power a Hi Vis jacket gives them on a Saturday afternoon!!! Ben |

Re: Crewe Match Thread
Posted via Mobile Device that pretty much sums it up. Coley came over an applauded then jimmy did the same an the stewards go daft. No trouble from the fans but we dont leave until jimmy comes back about 15 mins later with mark an mick

Re: Crewe Match Thread
Having been at the match, but missed the excitement of the final four minutes, that scoreline should read ref and liners and crewe alex 5 stanley 1. It may have been a penalty, however, now way was it a red card offence. Donaldson (I think) was going away from goal, will be interesting to see the replay tonight. Yellow would have been sufficient. The ref completely lost the plot. Even at 10, Stanley played some good football, what is apparent though is that we need some big forwards and defence. Just a pity that Proccie and Winnard? managed to present the ball to Crewe players to score. At 2-1 there was only going to be one result and it was nothing like the one we ended up with. We were the better team for the majority of the game, better finishing and t could have gone either way. No doubt the beeb will only show the Crewe stuff and not our own apart from the one goal we did score. Bring on Barnet on Tuesday, someone is definitely in for a hiding.

Re: Crewe Match Thread
The Stewards - 3 at first, the 5!! - just wrestled Jimmy to the ground, ignoring all his protests!! After a couple of mins, when we realised that they would not let Jimmy go, 1 or 2 Ladies, went to help Jimmy, followed by a few more fans.
Stewards were a disgrace - some of them, not all - none of us were thrown out, none of us were arrested - even when the proper Police turned up!! FANS - NOT CRIMINAL!! |

Ref waved it away, liner gave it, from where we where it looked very, very harsh - but, would like to see it again. But, could not understand, Kempo going off for Bouzer??? Spoiled the match, we did not deserve to win, but we did not deserve the scoreline!! |

Our last trip to Gresty Road, also ended in a four goal defeat, but, unlike the last time - '62 - I believe that not only will we play Barnet, but we will also be entertaining Chesterfield at the weekend, plus all this seasons FANtastic results, will stand!!

Viewing a thread - Accrington on pitch fight know what happened... Their assistant manager got floored for clapping the Accy fans by our over zealous dicks of stewards. Jimmy Bell was wrestled to the floor and John Coleman told me he was livid, quite rightly so too. An assistant manager treated like a pitch invader, got in a head lock and piled on on the ground, f00k me this is seriously embarrassing for us and Coleman wants the CCTV. Imagine Baker next year (when he's back) with Dario coming over to us away and getting hammered to ground. Jimmy Bell is a legend to all them Accy fans, no wonder they came on the pitch, our stewards didn't see his Initials JB on his Official team-ware shell-suit either, morons! |
Re: Crewe Match Thread
well we got a few knobhead stewards, but this lot outclass em.:D

As for today's game, we were at sixes & sevens throughout, didn't deserve to win but scoreline flattered Crewe - they were nothing special but unfortunately outplayed us for most of the game/ On to the Jimmy Bell incident - what a disgrace, the stewards responsible ought never to officiate at a game anywhere, ever again. All Jimmy was doing was coming over to clap our fans & found himself being wrestled to the ground, some of our lot have it on camera - should make interesting viewing. |

Howdy all
Might I advise anybody with any videos/pics of the incident to let the club see them ASAP? Best thing to do is email Rob Heys or give him a ring. The club need all the evidence they can get on what happened and any footage could make all the difference. It was a truly ludicrous day! Dan |
Re: Crewe Match Thread
People who just look at the scoreline will probably think I need my head examining, but I've got to say that after Saturday, if it were possible for me to be more in love with this club and its fans, I would be. Everyone says we've got the best supporters in the land and other such cliches, but we have...literally! :)
