I would imagine that hinges on whether Burnley are continuing to use the Crown Ground for reserve fixtures next season?

Also their pre-season games are filling up thick & fast with a Tour to Singapore & Bali plus fixtures against Stoke, Bury & Oldham

Im sure grimsby played in this last year, was called the errea cup, Was supposed to play Luton in the final, but pulled out, More than likely because newell was still manager at the time, Its a good laugh though!

Not sure where you have seen that, I can't spot it. If it's going to happen then it will have to be 1st week of July or 27th/28th. There is no other time. Can't see them playing in the week up to league starting on 7th August.

Seen it now, it's an interview with Laws which I tend to avoid reading :)

Maybe they are leaving it as late as possible so they can check the weather forecast to see if it's going to be waterlogged ;)

i imagine they'll want to do the Army camp training thing again, Coley really rated it last year for improving fitness. I think they played Maidstone on the back of it ...

Now been confirmed that the Crown Ground will be host to most reserve games with some being switched to Burnley. Apparently Laws wanted them all moving back to Burnley

Re: pre season

Pre-season.

Sunday 23rd May 2010.

Line up for Joma Tournament announced.

Accrington Stanley will compete in the South West Challenge Cup sponsored by Joma along with eleven other sides from across the UK.

The full line up is as follows:

Accrington Stanley
Barnstaple Town
Bideford AFC
Doncaster Rovers
Eastleigh
Havant & Waterlooville
Ilfracombe Town
Kilmarnock
Leyton Orient
Rushden & Diamonds
Shrewsbury Town
Truro City

Speaking about the the competition, Jon Haile, marketing director of Joma UK said "By any measurement I think we have secured a superbly balanced and interesting line up of full strength first team squads, a blend of both local teams and teams from further afield. Now it is all down to weather and the staging of what we all hope will be a momentous tournament and a festival of football for the real supporters."

Stanley manager John Coleman welcomed the opportunity to participate in the competition saying "Joma and the tournament organisers have done a fantastic job in putting the event together and we are looking forward to travelling down in Juy. It is always good to get away for a short while pre-season, to get the side physically ready for the new campaign and also to bond them together as a team.

"The tournament brings together good sides from around the country which will provide some testing games for us, and there are also some great training facilities provided by the organisers."

The tournament will run from Monday 19th July to Sunday 25th July. Supporters will be able to follow the tournament on the competition website at South West Challenge Cup

:) :) :) :) :) :) :)
